We stayed at the F&F B&B for three nights. It is located north of the Vatican on the ninth story of a building. The B&B is located in a nice and safe area of town, very near restaurants and public transportation.
Our hosts immediately made us feel at home, and they took the time to give us a map and explain the best way to navigate Rome. They were available if we needed them, but also very unobtrusive and respectful of our privacy.
The room was very comfortable, nicely furnished and squeaky clean. Some of the nice touches included a balcony from which we could see St. Peter's, a towel warmer and a little TV.
Breakfast fit Italian standards and included cold cereal, toast, juice and coffee.
The B&B is NOT located in central Rome. However, it was very accessible by the metro and at least two major bus lines. We didn't have any problems getting around, and we enjoyed staying out of the central hub since it afforded us some peace and quiet.
This is a very nice and reasonably priced place to stay in Rome,
and I highly recommend it!
