This hotel is the perfect base for a short break in Rome. The rooms are small but the amenities are more than adequate .... safe, air conditioning and a small fridge included.
Room was small but the bed was comfy, plenty of storage for clothes etc, and the bathroom was a good size and very clean.
Breakfast is in a small room downstairs, and was more than sufficient ... breads, hams, cheese, cerals and hot and cold drinks.
The surrounding area doesn't look particularly inviting but the hotel itself is in a very quiet residential street, and we felt very safe when wandering out for a meal at night.
At the end of the street over the road there is a large supermarket which is perfect for bottled water or wine/beer, snacks etc.
For eating out there is a lovely resaurant about 5 minutes walk away called Red, turn right at end of street and cross first crossing and you are there ..... lovely food, staff are very friendly and prices are reasonable.
As for sightseeing ..... Colliseum is around 15-20 mins walk away, and keep going to see other attractions such as the Pantheon and the Trevi fountain. Take plenty of water with tou as it can get very hot in between attractions !!!
We used the metro to go to the vatican, which wasn't daunting in the slightest ... ticket machines in english and stations clearly marked.
To sum up, I would highly recommend this hotel to people who just need a base and are not bothered about a hectic nightlife.
