We just stayed one night at this pathetic excuse for a 3 star hotel due to flight schedule change - "Who hands out these stars in Rome?" one might ask...

What a disgrace to hotel hospitality. I've been to weak hotels in Rome before but this just made me angry, hence the energy I found to write this review and warn my fellow travelers!

It's VERY basic, not good location (apart being close to Metro and a supermarket) and requires climbing up stairs.

Beds OK. shower SUCKS. Breakfast didn't try - too late for us (starts at 7:45).

The info below has some specifics on our particular experience where we felt we were being ripped off and why I think this establishment deserves punishment!

All we wanted was a place to stay for the night with our 2 young kids before taking the flight out of Rome the next day. Thought it would be better to see the city for a couple of hours and take the train back.

We had a relative book through the hotel site, redirected to some portal fisheye.net (?) that had a better price that hotwire so why not... he sent me the confirmation via SMS while I was still in North America.

When we arrived to the hotel the guy at the reception said our reservation didn't exist and wanted to charge us the walk-in rate (120 EUR for a triple room) which was almost double that what we reserved online (65 EUR), AND that we pay in advance. Now I've traveled all my life and the only places I ever pay in advance were backpacker hostels in South and Central. I'm also with a family, not exactly your typical fraud of a customer...

The details on the Blackberry screen were not enough and the guy at the reception repeatedly got instructions from the owners on he phone to charge us the high amount since the reservation was non existent...

Finally I had to go and get a print out of the confirmation from an Internet place couple of blocks away. The Hotel still "dinged" me extra 15 EUR for the 2nd child (3 years old) that was noted in the original reservation but didn't want to argue anymore. After a transatlantic flight all you want to do is put our bags somewhere and take a shower.

If you come to Rome, there are better places to spend you money. You can get hotels at the same level in much better locations.

It was a clean hotel, well situated at just 15 minutes walking to Coliseum. THe price included a breakfast ( some sausage, cheese, juices, coffee, croissants..) and it was ok. I payd 50€ for a doubled room, and I have to say that I'm happy with the price and quality and service received with this price.
Hotel,is divided in 2 buildings, and it was recently remodelated. Toilette was clean and inside the room, and warming was remotely connected (I could not choose it) but was warm when we were there.

The Hotel seems to have been renovated in recent times and the mid size (for Europe) room and bathroom had all you we needed. Breakfast was great. Its a short subway trip from the center of the city and about 3 or 4 blocks from the station. The staff were reserved but pleasant enough when you spoke to them.

Great value for money, clean, safe and room better than expected - would stay there again.

This hotel is not located in the slums. It is in a residential area and is very safe. Security cameras and locked gates guard this hotel. The concierge was good and the rooms were pretty nice. IT looks like they had been recently revamped.

We stayed for 2 nights in January and overall it was great. We paid £22 per night each including breakfast which was a real bargain. The hotel is ideally situated in a quite (but slightly rough looking) side street about 15 mins from The Coloseum and 10 mins to the nearest Metro Station. The hotel is safe and secure but the staff didn't speak english, but hey thats our problem. The hotel thoroughout is pleasantly decorated, clean and tidy and quite compact. The rooms are small but comfortable, modern and clean. What more do you want for that money and really only somewhere to sleep. There is a safe which is free to use. I would stay again for its location. The breakfast is basic but suffecient.
