Located just a few blocks from the train station and a block away from a metro stop. The staff was all young english speaking hipsters and very helpful to boot. The associated bar is fun and offers discounts for those staying in the hostel. This is the only place I ran into that offers a deposit for the towels, essentially offering free towel rental. Rooms were very clean and the bathroom was as comfortable as at home. Would recommend for other travelers.

We stayed here as part of a '07/'08 Christmas and New Years Holiday, there was 6 of us staying in a 6 Bed Dorm with Bathroom.

Very impressed with the service and quality of the hostel. Price may have been a little higher, but remember this is Rome and also the location is pretty good. Just a very short walk from the Termini its the perfect place to stay.

One feature I loved was that they provided the internet via the use of a Hostel supplied Laptop, to allow you to access the internet from almost anywhere within the hostel - particularly the Bar. This is great because it allows you the freedom to have a couple of drinks whilst emailing etc. 30mins Free per person per day is pretty generous as well.

Rooms were big, you didn't feel like you were on top of each other, the beds were your standard hostel bunks. Shower and bathroom were pretty small, but at least the water was hot.

Small problem with noise from outside your room, the doors are all security card locks so therefore make a loud banging noise when they shut, we had the pleasure of a large group coming in at about 2:00am and the slamming and noise kept us awake a bit.

Management were fairly helpfull, although the usual problem when you have a shift change, somethine you negotiated with the girl in the evening the people in the morning had no knowledge off.

All in all very enjoyable stay and if we travel through Rome again with a large group would definately stay here instead of a Hotel.

This place is a bit pricier than some others but I am not sure why. The rooms are sparse- just wire framed bunk beds with sponge mattresses, a desk, and a chair. It was quiet at night when I was there but in summer months the hostel is probably busier and noisier.

The bathrooms are co-ed, relatively clean, but the showers are a bit tricky. Meaning the water can suddenly turn ice cold *just* as you've gotten your hair into a soapy lather and have no choice but to rinse off quickly in the cold water while repeatedly muttering the f-word under your breath.

The staff are young, some friendly, some not at all. 30mins of free internet access is included as are the bed sheets. The rolling rack under the bed is good for keeping your belongings locked and secure and there is a bar just next door owned by the hostel where everyone is from an english speaking country- namely uk, au, usa.

I would probably never stay here again because there are nicer places with better value in Rome, but The Yellow is certainly not a bad place to stay in the Termini area.

I stayed at the Yellow after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. I was traveling on my own and was hoping to have a clean, social environment to meet other people. Loved hanging out in the bar and meeting other travelers- almost all American and Australians. I hung out with a different group of people each night. It is almost too easy to just stay by the bar and not explore the neighborhoods in Rome at night. People were raving about the pub crawl but I missed it... (it is only on Monday, Thursday and Saturday nights).
