We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in April 2008. We were given a room on the fifth floor on the building next where the reception is. Our room was really nice and clean and it seemed like it has been revovatated recently. Bathroom was ok - no bathtup just a shower which we prefered. The reception staff was really helpful and nice. The location of the hotel is perfect. Just off Via Del Corso (shopping street) we walked everywhere from the spanish steps to the vatican city (just a 20 minute walk ) and to the colosseum- the weather was really nice.
Just a two minor points on the hotel- in the morning we could hear other residents talking in the corridor and we didn't like breakfast.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone- I would definitely go back- but ask for a room in the new block not in the block where the reception is. Btw at first it looks like a maze to get from the reception to the room, cause you have to go through several doors!!

Room was clean and okay size. Nice bathroom.
Stairs stairs and more stairs. Elevator not available from street level.
Breakfast was okay - coffee / tea / juice / rolls delivered to your room after 8 am.
Night staff not very friendly and quite gruff.
The location was very good. About 6-7 blocks from the Metro stop at the Spanish steps.

We check in, and there is smoke in the air. I ask them why it smells like smoke if this is a non-smoking hotel and they look me in the eye
and say "nobody's smoking". 10 minutes later it starts to smell so my
wife goes out of the room and sees the maid smoking. You also have to
leave your key with the front desk when you leave the room. The elevator is 2 flights up and doesn't even work. If you want
"breakfast", you need to notify them when you plan on waking up so they can bring you your coffee and rolls to your room. They also advertise an English-speaking staff which is incorrect. Only 1 person
speaks English.

The owners seemed to have bought all the apartments on one floor of the building and now call it a hotel. I call it a dump. We were looking for a Best Western to move to immediately.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in August, 2007. While I had found the hotel on-line and booked the rooms prior to reading the Trip Advisor reviews, I must say that we were very happy with the overall experience and would recommend the hotel to those travelers who are not seeking a luxury property. The location is fantastic, right off Via del Corso near one of the main terminus points for the bus lines and within a few blocks of the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. The subway is also a short walk away up Via Tritone. The hotel had very clean, though also small, rooms with free internet access and large plasma TVs. There was one English language channel, a British version of CNN. We heard virtually no noise at night - there was some construction in the courtyard during the day. The staff was friendly and courteous. We spoke some Italian, so were able to communicate, but many of the desk staff also spoke passable English. The hotel does have 3 flights of stairs to walk up... not a problem for us .... and the breafast is basic. Still, we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a central location in Rome and is willing to sacrifice the luxury amenities for a very reasonably price.

We stayed for four nights to celebrate our fifth anniversity and we both thought that the hotel was great. We had a wonderful private bath, a nice big tv and a computer with internet access.

The breakfast was okey, it was served in our room and I love breakfast in bed :)

The staff was friendly and helpful, they called a taxi for us, etc.

The location was perfect, we walked everywhere! It is very close to Fontana di Trevi and the Spanish Steps, only 5-10 minutes walk. But we also walked to the Vatican, Colosseum and Trastevere.

So we think that we really got our moneys worth, since it was really reasonable prices for such a great location and nice room (and that is what you are paying for!).

  • Liked — The location and the room!
  • Disliked — The stairs up to the room.
