Wonderful experience, rooms were clean and well maintained. Aenea team was outstanding. The pastries in the morning were a real treat. Cafe around the corner was a nice place to stop, have an espresso and enjoy a part of Rome. We found the location to be excellent. Fifteen minute walk or so to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain or the Spanish Steps.
Looking for a super market? Wine , cheese & crackers, beer, that sort of thing. Out the door of the inn. Turn left, walk to the corner,cross the street, go about a half a block further. It will be on your right. Enjoy!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with the Aenea Superior Inn. Everyone was so very helpful before and during my stay. I was given several cell numbers to contact should I need anything and there was always someone at the front desk to provide a map and directions to all the popular attractions. The location was very convenient, near the metro and within walking distance of the Colosseum. The hotel actually occupies a floor in a condominium but in a classic building complete with a tiny vintage elevator. The room was so cozy, nicely decorated and very clean. The air-conditioning was quite welcome since it was July and very hot. I liked the great variety of snacks in the room, so tasty and totally free! My least favorite part was probably the croissants but I typically am a low carb person so I needed to get a more substantial breakfast on my own anyway. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Aenea is set in an apartment condo, with two seperarate floors with rooms on each. We were in the New Wing. We had our own key, and could come and go as we pleased. Every morning there was a basket hung outside with pastries in for breakfast. There is a mini fridge, and kettle in the room to make coffee and tea. This ISNT a hotel, but we loved it and it was just right for us, we were able to relax and go back and watch TV and have a cup of tea after a long day sightseeing around Rome. The location is excellent, you're about 10 minutes from the Colisseum and virtually within walking distance of all the major attractions, other than Vatican City, or Villa Borghese.
Our double room was very nicely decorated with an en suite bathroom, which was lovely and spotlessly clean. We were met by Karim who made us feel very welcome and showed us lots of places to go on a map, he was very friendly. This place is a bargain price for how clean it is and the excellent location. We ate out every night as there are excellent restaurants in the area, particularly Via Cavour around the corner.
If you want to be in a plush hotel and be pampered this is not the place for you, if you want a nice clean, no frills place to stay whilst visiting Rome this is right up your street. We had a double room and it was more than adequate. I would recommend this place to anybody staying in Rome, and if we ever go again we'd definately book again.
The only thing that was slightly annoying was that you can hear people coming back and hear some talking, keys in doors sometimes. Each room has air conditioning which we had switched on throughout the night and it mostly drowned out noise when it was there. It didn't bother us enough to worry about it, but some people might be a bit more picky and find it annoying. That was the one fault I could pick, and it wasn't a big one.
