There were 4 of us in one room. We traveled by train and walked to the hotel. You MUST tell them when you'll arrive so they can meet you at the front door.

Pros: Cheapest price for location
Hotel staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
Heated towel rack in bathroom for our 4 person room
Free breakfast - coffee is instant, but good
Room was clean and quiet.
Balcony was nice.

Cons: breakfast is already in your room and mostly breads
Kind of hard to find, but staff will meet you at the door when you arrive.
Shower stall was too small for our room. I'm 5'8", 150 and I kept bumping into the hot/cold nozzle. I had to shower with my arms raised.

Never been to Rome before, travelling with teenagers and grand-mother. I appreciated the easy and prompt communication with the hotel by e-mail before travelling, helping arranging with airport pick up and other issues. Very helpful staff on location and we were lucky with our rooms. Nice location in Rome, near buses and Metro, walking distance to all major cultural sights. Nice restaurants near by (heading "north" away from the Termini-area).

This hotel is ideally located for easy access to all the main tourist sites even though it was difficult to find at first! It is located behind large double wooden doors so look for the building number and press the button to be let in.
Very polite, friendly and helpful staff who maintain a high standard of cleanliness and service. We liked the continental breakfast provided each morning together with the basket of goodies restocked daily.

After originally staying in a Bed and Breakfast close by finding Aenea's was a real hidden gem. Compared with where we had been staying the rate was cheaper, the rooms clean and tastefully redecorated, and the location was not only convenient to local attractions but also felt a safe area to be in. The staff spoke English and they went out of their way to help. The breakfast was maybe a little light but having a mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities in the room was a real bonus. We would definitely return to Aenea's.
