Having been in Rome so many times, I can tell you this is a great hotel. Nice rooms, and so quiet... in the centre of Rome.
Great location, great accomodation and very nice people.
This will be my home in Rome in the future !

We spend a week at this fabulous apartments at the center of Rome.
We had been there with a company of friends and one of the room had a terrace, so it was special great even in January period.
Hospitality, great service and everything in a walk distance, we did'n have a need to go to the metro, only taxi to the Vatican area only.
I would highly recommend.

Svetlana

This is a fantastic place to stay in Rome. The right side of the station, it is within easy walking distance of the main attractions. Breakfast is delivered in a basket to your door, and there is tea and coffee in the room. There are some great, not too touristy, restaurants on Via Urbana which offer good food at decent prices (something of a rarity in Rome). It is a B&B within a larger residential block so look for No 156 on Via Urbana and you will spot a small brass sign for the inn by the door. The staff are super friendly, giving you their number in case you need help. The downside, particularly if you are alone, is that there are no communal spaces to meet other travellers. But then, there's the whole of Rome to do that in...

Aenea was absolutely perfect. The staff were so nice and helpful. Every morning there was breakfast in a basket and the staff would greet us good morning. They made suggestions for where to go and eat. The rooms were adorable and the inn was quiet. Every night, our beds were made and chocolate and a note were left on our pillows. Many of the sites were in walking distance and if not they were just a short subway ride away. Termini was a short walk form the inn so it was very easy to get anywhere and in great time. I would never stay anywhere else, it was perfect.

Having been to Rome many years ago - and not really had a great time - my wife and I wanted somewhere comfortable and flexible to use as a base to renew our acquaintance with the city... the Aenea was perfect.
Other reviewers seem to have had trouble finding the front door, and we fell foul of a similar fate - but - had we read the instructions they emailed beforehand, there would have been no problem. It's within walking easy distance of the Termini station and even dragging bags behind us, it only took a few minutes.
It's important to understand that the Aenea is not a hotel - it is more a series of apartments in a large and rather lovely house, perfectly situated for sightseeing and general Roman exploration. I have no idea if we had an exceptional apartment, but we there was a vast room with a large bed, a sofa(bed) for TV watchers - no time - a bathroom and a smashing terrace. The terrace really swung it for us. It was a superb place to sit and chill after a foot-sweltering day on the cobbles of Rome, and perhaps even better, it was just perfect for the bread and pastry breakfast hung outside your room each morning.
This all sounds a little unconventional - and it is - but believe me, the people who run this place are very much on the ball. We stayed there for an important anniversary and they recommended and booked two brilliant restaurants.
We loved it and would recommend it to anybody.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a terrace - it's worth it

First of all, this is B&B not a hotel. I would like to mention it because of some bad reviews I've read on TripAdvisor. Secondly, it's a great B&B :)

I've stayed there during New Year season for 7 nights.

Pros:
1. Great location. Everything except Vatican in walking distance. Via Urbana has some nice small restaurants and shops and was illuminated nicely during New Year season.
2. Clean and relatively cheap
3. Basket of Pastries every morning, so you don't need to worry about breakfast. They also supply coffee, cookies, jams and juice everyday. So you always have a snack.
4. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Cons:
1. Very small shower cabin.
2. Water wasn't hot enough some of the mornings. Probably water heater is not big enough to supply the whole place.

Besides water problem I loved this place and will stay there again if come to Rome.
