I spent three nights at the Domus Mazzini B&B with my mother. We had booked two rooms and found them spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We arrived early and were greeted with a very friendly reception by the owner Ciro. He was extremely helpful in dealing with our enquiries about restaurants and bars in the city and made several phonecalls on our behalf, seeking out information to assist us. The B&B is approximately a 15min walk from the Vatican and myself and my mother walked to most of the main sights, including to the Colosseum (roughly an hour away, but all the more enjoyable by stopping along the way at the numerous cafes for refreshments!). I would recommend the open-top buses as a great way to see most of the major tourist attractions of Rome as you can hop on and hop off at the various stopping points to explore at your leisure.
The rooms at the B&B are very clean, including the bathrooms which are cleaned each day. Breakfast is prepared by the owner Ciro and includes tea/coffee, breads, fruit, yoghurts, cereal, fruit juices, cheese and cold meats. All in all it was very sufficient and provided a perfect start to the day before embarking on a walking tour of this beautiful city. While eating breakfast we chatted with the very friendly owner on a multitude of topics and he was a very charming and entertaining host.
We wouldn't hesitate to return to the Domus Mazzini B&B when we next come to Rome.
Highly recommended!

Hi Derek ! Thank you very much for the very nice comment. I should reward you and your mother to give me the chance of practicing my limping English.
I am really looking forward to visiting Dublin in a near future, hopefully we may meet there this time. Ciro

Good location in a rather quiet neighbourhood, on walking distance of the center and subway.
Comfortable, clean rooms. The rooms are kind of part of a big transformed apartment on the first floor of a big but majestic building, and have private bathroom.
Perfect reception by friendly and helpfull owner.

Great accommodation close to a tube station in a quiet area of the city. Beautiful air conditioned room which was spotlessly clean with a large comfortable double bed. The en-suite was very well laid out with a spacious shower area and again spotlessly clean. We were served breakfast each morning in the kitchen by the owner who tended to our every need and kept us in chat with his perfect English. We actually walked out from the centre but there are bus routes and the tube all in the vicinity. Lots of nice places around to eat. Wi-fi was perfect. We couldn't believe how quiet it was, given that you are in a built up area in the city. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone

Room Tip: Our room had a large double bed and a settee and was at the end of the corridor

Spent 4 nights in Rome with some friends, we were supposed to be 6 but at the last minute, 2 people dropped out, I see the comment about the 7 day cancelletion policy from a previous reviewer and agree its no perfect but I do agree with this especially as you know about it upfront. If you cant gaurentee your going to be there, dont book it...It leaves more dates for us to go back to Rome and stay there.

My pet hate about hotels is the low water pressure, and the prospect of showering under a drip, this isnt the case here, showers are fantastic, bed was a bit soft but they are in the process of looking at replacing the matress to something firmer.

Location is fantastic, and the resturaunt acrcos the road is well worth a visit ( cant remember what its called as they gave us the bottle of Limoncello to finish).

A fantastic Stay, great hospitality by the owner who personally serves you breakfast. Ask anything, if they can help you, they will. The simple question and answer is would I go back there, and the answer is definitely yes.

Great location in a quiet neighborhood, very close to a bus line that takes you right to the old city center, plus lots of coffee places and restaurants within walking distance. Room was small but very comfortable, with a lovely updated bathroom. Breakfast was basic but good, and the B&B owner is very helpful and friendly. Very affordable for Rome.

The only problem was that our window faced the courtyard, which was charming - except at 1am when some guys came home and decided to hang out and party in the courtyard til 4am. Bummer.

I want to thank my guest for the nice words and apologize for the inconvenience occurred that one night. It was really bad luck because the "blue room", that is the room facing the courtyard, is usually very very quiet.
Please, next time give me a call and I'll come right away to fix it ! :-)

Rome is always one of the best place to visit. The City always offers new breathtaking sights and emotions. We found that services for tourists is getting much better in terms of museums time schedule, public transport and people being able to speak and understand foreigners. Getting to the hotel, it is a great place to stay, out of the center hustle, still within walking distance to many land mark. The owner Ciro is at your full service and he can speak fluent english; rooms are immaculate, cleaned everyday, not very large but fully equipped with everything you might need, internet connection is very fast (only cable though). Breakfast is "italian style" (no eggs or cooked stuff): espresso coffee, capuccino or tea, juices, toasted bread, preserves, yoghurt, cereals and cold cuts and it is served by the owner himself.
We had very nice time there and definitely recommend it.
