Classy hotel with a B&B next door.

Stayed in the B&B in a 'quad' room for 2 adults, 2 children.
The room was well furnished, clean, with a fantastic bathroom (including hydro bath) and daily maid service.

The hotel staff were very accomodating, most of whom spoke fluent english.

The restaurant for our buffet breakfast was comfortable, with fantastic views over vatican city and offered a great choice of breakfast options. Even the kids were happy!

The hotel/B&B is located a couple of streets away from St Peters Basilisca (church) in vatican city.
It is also a handy location for the metro and many other sights.

I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!!!!

We had a wonderful four days in Rome, thanks particularly to the very good facilities at the above place. The B & B is a part of the Atlante Hotel and we enjoyed the facilities available at the hotel for the residents of the B & B including breakfast in the roof-top restaurant. Being on a main road it was slightly noisy but the sound proofing and air conditioning was of very good standard. Another interesting facility in our B & B was the whirlpool bath which was very relaxing after a days tour of the city. We can strongly recommend the place especially for families with small children.

I took my elderly mother and my daughter to Rome and we stayed in Maison Royale. They couldn't have been more attentive. We had a very large room with one queen size bed ( 2 singles pushed together and made up as one) and two further singles. A large bathroom with jukuzzi hydromassage bath. The appartment is about three doorways down from the hotel and up 3 floors in the old fashioned elevator but that was fine. We overlooked the street the appartment was light and airy. Cleaned every day with clean bed linen and fresh very large bath towels. We had breakfast on the roof top restaurant at Les Etoilles. The buffet breakfast was fantastic. The use of the little lounge in the ;hotel which was very pleasant. It was five minutes walk to St Peters through a cobbled street lined with little outside tables and restaurants. We had to move into the hotel (no extra charge) because their was some maintanance being done to the lift. after 3 days of our 5 day stay Although more plush the hotel room was not as large and I would definitely return to the bed and breakfast again. Fantastic holiday and location.

We were booked into the B& B portion(La Maison Royale) of the hotel Atlante Star which would have been fine except that we needed 3 beds and for some reason only had 1. The hotel quickly and graciously provided an Apartment behind the hotel for our stay. The hotel and Apartment were conveniently located near the Vatican and the English speaking front desk staff were very helpful in providing for our needs. They also helped to return a book to us that we accidentally left behind. Many thanks to the staff.

After reading several reviews on hotels in Rome, we weren't quite sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. This bed and breakfast was not your traditional B&B, but rather picture it as an apartment without a kitchen. The rooms in the apartment are individual rooms that you rent out. Each room comes with a refrigerator bar, its own bathroom complete with shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, jacuzzi and you even are supplied with slippers! The air-conditioning actually works, sometimes even too cold. As one of the reviews mentioned, there are quite a few keys in order to get in, but looking on the bright side, you feel safe. The room has no phones, which was an inconvenience, but the hotel next door has a pay phone. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent and more than enough. The scenery was breathtaking, overlooking the Vatican.

There were 9 people in our group, 5 of which were teenagers, and all of us were extremely satisfied. Apart from being a lovely place to stay, the price was right!
