Excellent central location to Vatican and directly opposite a metro station so very handy. The reception guy was fantastic and helped us by checking out stuff online, making phone calls and leaving us with a spare key for luggage pick up. Fantastic!! The room wasn't as clean as we were expecting but we were only staying 1 night so OK.

Federici had good location near Vatican and metro station and also nice clean rooms. I don't have anything bad to say and would definitely stay there again.

My fiancee and I stayed here 2.5 years ago and I still can remember what a great B&B it was. We recommened it to some friends of ours who just stayed there in Oct and they agree that it is great!!!

The breakfast was wonderful and in a common area which was really nice to meet other travellers!

Fabio was helpful!!!

Booked it on venere.com http://www.romeby.com/federici/

Location was perfect!

2 minute walk to the Vatican, Sistine chapel, Museums.

Right on the subway line.

Buy tickets for the Sistine chapel before hand to ensure that you can actually get in to see it. Must wear appropriate clothing, covered shoulders, etc.

We hopped on the subway all the way to the Collosseum. Then walked back stopping at these sites: palatino, foro romano, piazza venezia, mon a vittorio emanuele, foro di traiano, trevi fountain, pantheon, piazza navona, castel s tangelo.

We bought tickets just down the street from the cCllosseum so we didn’t have to wait in line. A little booth down the street called via di san gregorio. It is where the locals buy their tickets.

Great! Beautiful city!

GREAT place to stay!! This area of North Rome is really well off, completly safe, and boasts plenty of shopping. You are less than five minutes away from the Vatican, and can easily walk to the old city center. Odds are you will not do this sine the metro is right at your front door!! Clean, quiet and spacious living area that is stylish as well. Fabio, the host, is the biggest selling point. Beyond being a fun guy to talk to, he is born and raised in Rome and gives you honest help for anything you need. Fantastic place. Fantastic stay!

  • Liked — Location, The host Fabio, great food, always clean, very quiet.
  • Disliked — No internet on site, but there is an net bar right around the corner. (30 sec. walk)

We have just returned from our visit to Rome . Federici b and b is an ideal place to saty in Rome; clean andcomfortable and in an ideal location for exploring all the wonderful sights Rome has to offer. In this regard the host, Fabio, is very helpful and will even offer a map and outline great walking routes to explore central Rome. However it's also located right at the metro station which makes it ideal if too much walking is not desirable and most of the major sights are near all the metro stops on this line.
It's also easy to get from the airport as the Leonardo express goes directly to the central termini station and then you just hop on the metro to Federici. It's very close proximity to the Vatican is also a great bonus.Lots of restaurants and good shopping in the surrounding area as well.
Very plentiful continental breakfast which was served by Fabio's lovely housekeeper or by himself.
Fridge available for guests to keep drinks in etc and TV in all rooms though you need good Italian to really avail of this !!!!
Would unhesitatingly recommend Federici B and B to anyone looking for clean and comfortable accomodation in Rome.

  • Liked — Friendliness and helpfullness of host. even gave us his card with mobile number in case of emergencies
  • Disliked — couldn't fault anything
