I enjoyed this B&B, first with a friend and then for the last night as a solo. I had two different rooms. It is a good value for the money, particularly as a single.

The location is both great and not-so-great. Easy access to Termini station (metro anywhere, trains anywhere, main bus hub, airport shuttle buses and airport express train.) However, there are a lot of homeless people living around the station and nearly every surface is covered in graffiti. This is on one of the nicer streets in the neighbourhood.

Things I liked:
==========
Office just outside the entrance to the courtyard made it easy to find.

Wonderful internet.

Staff.

Things I didn't like:
=============
No towel racks in the bathroom, so nowhere for the towels to dry.

The inner room doors are cute old wooden doors, but do not offer much in the way of security. However, there are three doors: entrance to building courtyard, entrance to Casa di Amy and the entrance to your room.

I'm quite picky but staff are very patient helpful and informative. It locates near the train station (termini) making transportation convenient.

A most wonderful acomodation in the very heart of Roma!
I am a very old man (85) and I arrived very late to the place but was met as an old friend by Elio and Lilla. They were very helpful. It is a comfortable, clean place with a very good breakfast.

La Casa di Amy had good reviews on the Trip Advisor website so I booked a 3 night stay for my husband and me at the B&B through Active Hotels. The location (near to Termini station) was great and it was easy to find. We were welcomed by the receptionist who had excellent English. The room was pretty with attention to detail. However, I was disappointed not to received new towels on the second or third days, also, the bathmat disappeared after the second night. I asked the receptionist to replace the towels and bathmat, however, whilst I was in the reception, the receptionist and her manager got into a lenghty discussion about it, in Italian. The receptionist did not translate the manager's comments for me. It seemed that a simple issue was blown out of proportion and the language barrier made me feel uncomfortable, particularly as La Casa di Amy is advertised as a multi-lingual establishment. The towles were replaced, begrudgingly, but the bathmat was not. A small issue, but the tiled floors in the bathroom and room were extremely slippery.

First time in Rome ! Looked for a nice, well located, affordable and clean B & B. Found this gem through venere.com where there are more reviews than here but ended up booking directly with the property.

The location, 5 minutes walk from Termini, the main railway station, could not have been better: All airport coaches arrive here, most local buses stop here and both subway lines A & B intersect here. The area is full of restaurants, stores and a couple of drug/grocery stores (one open to midnight at the bottom floor of Termini).

La Casa di Amy is owned by charming Lilla and her husband. They speak excellent English so communication is no problem. The apartment was located on the 3rd floor but there was an elevator so no problem with luggage.

The room was nicely appointed and faced the quiet courtyard and equipped with an ensuite bathroom, A/C, a small refrigerator, a comfortable queen-size bed, an armoire and a table with 2 chairs, perfect for enjoying a peaceful siesta & light lunch or snack.

The breakfast was beautifully presented with good coffee, cold-cuts, fruit, youghurt, juice, cereal, muesli, various breads and pastries.

All in all a very enjoyable and pleasant stay. Highly recommended !
