Overall the stay at La Casa di Amy was very satisfying. We arrived early, so we had to wander around for 2 hours before being allowed to check in. The room was located about half a block from the watch shop of La Casa di Amy, it was very easy to find, and just a few minutes from Termini. The room was located in an apartment with 4 rooms, and the living room was used as the breakfast room. It was smaller than we thought, although it was sufficient for 2 anyway so it didn’t bother us. There was a fridge, air conditioner, and coffee/tee making facility, all worked very well. The bed was a queen size, and very comfortable. There was no extra pillow or storage place, though. The only shelf in the room was locked. The room was made everyday, and the towels were replaced every other day. The room and the bathroom were nicely cleaned everyday. The bathroom was in general clean.
Breakfast was served rather late, 8-9.30am (the Roman breakfast time, I was told). It consists of juice, milk/tea/coffee, packaged croissant, bread, ham/cheese, and cereals. The breakfast was prepared in the morning and left on the kitchen counter without anyone attending to it.
The service was good overall, the check-in process was simple, and cash was preferred to credit card. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. We were satisfied overall, although there were several minor flaws. One day after the towels were replaced one towel was forgotten as a result for two nights one of us had no bath towels. The second incident was that we ran out of toilet paper and it was not refilled even though we had left a note there reminding the cleaning staff. The next day we left a much larger note on the bathroom mirror and then only it was refilled. We also mentioned that we were leaving very early on the day of departure and although a packed breakfast was promised for us it was simply forgotten.
