La Casa di Amy looks nice, but we never got to see it for ourselves, since they bumped us from the hotel due to overbooking. When we arrived for our 2 night stay, as part of our honeymoon and my husband's 30th birthday, we found out that we'd be staying at another hotel a few blocks away. We chose Casa di Amy because it looked like a nice B&B with personal touches. The hotel we were bumped to was a smelly Motel 6 type hotel that had rooms overlooking an alley filled with men every day.

When we confirmed our reservation, they made no comment about bumping us to another location. If I had known we were going to get bumped to another hotel, I would have booked a room for us someplace else. I highly recommend The Beehive nearby. We've stayed there in the past (it was full this time) and it was the best!

We stayed here one night mainly because it is only 1 1/2 blocks to the train station. The neighborhood is fine although I read a couple of reviews saying it was scarey. It is on the 3rd floor but has a lift, the room was large compared to Rome standards, modern bathroom with shower, extremely clean, a little sitting area under a shuttered window overlooking the street. Everyone working there was friendly, The breakfast was one of the better ones we had in B&B's this trip- meats, cheeses, melon, tomatoes, olives, cereals, etc. - cute breakfast room. Easy to walk to most locations.
