“Great Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

We spent our winter holidays in Rome, Italy. We stayed in the Marini Park Hotel from December 23rd, 2013 to January 2nd, 2014. We enjoyed touring around cities such as Rome, Florence and our ten-day stay in the Marini Park Hotel.
The hotel is clean and is located in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff we met have shown a friendly and yet professional manner in answering questions and providing assistance when required. We shall miss a fresh cup of hot cappuccino and good breakfast prepared by the hotel. Also, the paid shuttle service is reliable.
Although it may take around forty minutes each time to get to the centre of Rome, it is worth the trip to "sightseeing" around the suburban Greater Rome.. One may consider to take bus 218 to the San Giovanni station or choose to take 044 to the Eru Fermi station to take subway to the Centre of Rome.
It is the excellence service provided by the staff of this hotel that made our trip a fond memory.
La ringrazio molto per l'ospitalità. Avere un felice anno nuovo 2014!

We spent three nights in this hotel, and selected it because it was a bit cheaper than staying more centrally. We were not disappointed - the hotel is clean, the staff are super friendly and helpful (they speak good English) and the breakfasts are good. We didn't have a car, but there are two buses that run regularly (and daily) from just outside the hotel. It's about 25 mins to the nearest metro stop, and then a further 20 minutes approx into central Rome - only 1.50 Euro per person. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant (breakfast only when we were there), and the bar was closed. But there is a good local restaurant (about 10 mins walk from the hotel). If we had stayed longer, we would have wanted a car to explore more areas outside of Rome, and find more places to eat locally, but for three nights this was a perfect location in beautiful countryside.

My wife and I rented for a weekend in the Rome area prior to our cruise from Civitavecchia. We wanted to visit some sites in the outskirts of Rome (Ostia Antica and Rainbow Magicland) and decided on the Marini Park Hotel. It is a nice property in a very quiet location, and also very easy to find from the main highway. We did have some trouble at first trying to figure out the air conditioning system, but once we got it going it was great - very nice and cool! We actually booked the hotel as part of a package with Rainbow Magicland, but the hotel's rack rates are very reasonable and worth the cost... especially as an alternative to the expensive hotels in the city center. Note that a car would definitely be required for this location. We did go into Rome one night, and it was easily reached by parking at the Laurentina car park (easy 15 minute drive from hotel) and taking the metro into the city. There is also free parking at the hotel which is great. The only real downside is the breakfast which is definitely a disappointment so don't count on much for that. Overall recommend this property!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. In order to get into Rome we drove to the Laurentina metro station from where we arrived at the Colloseum within 20 minutes. Parking was safe and cheap!the hotel is conveniently located near the motorway (about 10 minutes) and traffic is not chaotic (like in Rome). Plenty of parking at the hotel too.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife for 4 nights. This hotel is run by a Swiss family couple and it means that everything in this hotel has unsurpassed Swiss quality: the room, the clearness, the service! Family is very helpful and personal. Breakfasts are more in Western European style then in Italian one. Free Wi-Fi all over the hotel. The only drawback is location outside GRA. So you are to take a bus or a cab to reach the nearest subway station. But the countryside location equals peaceful nights. The hotel is highly recommended for those who rent a car in Rome or don't afraid to spend 40-45 minutes to go to city centre. It was a great stay, thanks!
