Nightmare. This hotel is a scam, a rip-off, fraud. Awful. Do not even consider staying here; sleeping on a park bench would be nicer. I spent a day filing a police report. Reserving this place ruined my trip to Rome. The mangers/owners/clerks are creepy, dishonest people. Bugs on beds, shabby materials, mattresses on floors, polystyrene "chair molding" on walls. They promise Internet, but do not provide it. They promise phones but not all rooms have this. They take you to a private apartment that will scare you. No security, no connection to main building. They do not give you your messages. Nightmare in Rome.

We would pay NOT to stay here! When hotel personnel were notified that there was no hot water, they made believe this was a temporary problem that JUST OCCURRED!

However, when it was pointed out that there was NO hot water tank (Ergo, how could there be hot water?), they just smiled sheepishly and said the problem would be referred to the (fictitious, non-existant) manager.

Aside from this, our shower curtain was the size of a cocktail napkin which created a mold condition in the bathroom from repeated flooding!

Essentially, our room was nothing more than an illegal conversion of an office building - propane tanks fueled stoves/ extension cords running everywhere from non-working electrical outlets/ non-working TV/ non-working telephone/ ROACHES.

Most importantly, the place was FIRE HAZZARD located on the fourth floor without a fire escape and only one means of egress. It is a death trap.

It ruined our vacation. Reserve at your own risk!

Booked this hotel online for its location and price. The pictures on the website looked fabulous. We weren't disappointed with the location, we walked absolutely everywhere. However, there is a reason the price is so low. The main part of the hotel, where reception is, looked quite nice. However, we were transported a few blocks away to another part of the hotel. The room was quite big but there was chipped paint and cracked walls. The room was dirty. The bathroom was old. There was one window in the bathroom nailed shut that looked out onto a "balcony" that was filled with old, broken furniture. On our second night there, we were awakened by someone banging loudly on another door and screaming in Italian. Don't know what this was about but it went on periodically through the night. On our last morning, we got up very early to catch our flight and all the staff members were eating breakfast outside the rooms. I had suspicions that this annexe of the hotel was actually staff quarters as I didn't really see anyone else there who appeared to be a guest. All in all, we had a great location but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone or stay there again myself. I'd rather pay the extra money for a decent place.

Booked this hotel because of location, price, and photos on web site. Got moved to "Annex" 8 block away, where there were bugs, dirt, and no luxury. Bed broke during the night, had to unplug min-frig to turn on lamp, toilet seat broken, no drinking glass, phone did not work. Worse yet when we complained they said the could not move us, and if we left we still had to pay. Well we left, and they took our money for next three nites. No refund. Please becareful what you book on the internet.
