Even though we booked months in advance, we received a call less than 1 hour before leaving for the airport to fly to Rome telling us that this hotel just cancelled our reservation. The hotel offered no assistance or suggestions for last-minute alternate hotel, leaving us scrambling at the airport for a place to stay.

The photos of the hotel are very misleading, dont stay here.

Booked this hotel using a tourist service at Venice train station; asked for something "in Vatican city" - got this hotel which is 2 metro stations and a 5 minute walk from Vatican city.

Room felt dirty but looked clean. Hotel fotos online are a lie.
Breakfast was awful; served yogurt past it's expiration date; coffee horrible; milk went bad; scrambled eggs half cooked; plus more. We ate out the second morning.

When I asked to cancel the last 2 nights of our 4 night reservation they would not refund the pre-paid nights. Receptionist was quite rude, it was laughable how rude she was. Hotel manager didn't come to work until late afternoon (her hours are flexible and she cannot be reached for any reason) which meant that we had to go to Termini station to resolve the matter. They did refund the 2 nights and we moved to the Hotel Columbus.

Horrible, horrible place. Name is quite deceptive.

My girlfriend and I booked a three night stay in this hotel for new year. When we arrived we were told that our reservation by internet "had not been received". The manager then informed us that the internet site had transferred us to another hotel.This was found to be a lie. We had to find another hotel for the first night.

When we returned for the next two nights we were informed that the hotel had no hot water due to the gas supplies in the area being cut off by a security threat to the vatican. We checked with the local police and this was also found to be a lie. We had no hot water for our entire stay!

Our room was situated in a separate "flat" not connected to the main building (see other reviews). The first room we were offered had a broken shutter (stuck open) and broken curtains that could not be closed. The balcony was also filled with broken bricks and furniture. The one other choice, that we took, had shutters but two of them were locked shut. The rooms contained no instructions in the event of fire or emergency, no visible smoke alarms and no designated fire exit in that part of the building (I searched for it)

In short this was a terrible hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE! You will waste your money! If I could have given it 0 stars in this review I would have.
