“Nice hotel. Good location for travelling.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

Stayed for 4 nights in the hotel as a group of 6 sightseeing. The hotel was nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and there are lots of nice restaurants nearby.
The coliseum and main sights are about a twenty minute walk from the hotel.
The rooms were nice but there was a lot of noise from the traffic as the italians seem to drive around constantly beeping there horns for no reason.
The wi fi does not seem to work in the hotel but all the local bars and restaurants have free wi fi access.
Overall i would recommend this hotel as it was a very pleasant stay.

This hotel is in a good location. ideal for service buses, open top buses and metro. The hotel is ok, our room was small and bathroom was long and very narrow. We booked for five nights, and paid £100 extra for the spa, roof top garden and hot tub. The spa was very small, not what we wanted, and the jacuzzi was 40 euros an hour extra. We wanted the roof top garden and hot tub, but were told is was not available. We requested that the £100 be deducted from our bill, which the hotel refused and the guy on reception did not appear to be very helpful or sympathetic about the situation. We think this was a big rip off as they were advertising this facility, and it was the reason we had booked with the Welcome Piram.
We enjoyed Rome, and will probably visit again, but will not use this unhelpful hotel again.

We have just returned from a great weekend in Rome with our friends Lisa and Kevin and stayed at the Welcome Piram. The hotel is near to the terminali station and which is quite a good location although a bit of a walk to all the sites that Rome has to offer although there is a Metro station a short walk away. The hotel is OK although there is noise from traffic if your room is at the front of the hotel. The rooms are small but you don't visit Rome to sit in a hotel do you!. The beds are comfortable and we got a good nights sleep until the traffic noise starts. The staff are first rate very friendly and very helpful can comment on the restuarant as we never used it. We used a small cafe use around the corner which we where directed to by the hotel staff and I must stay it's a nice cafe although a bit random on the service but with great staff and nice food.

Room Tip: Away from the front

My friends and I added a night at the beginning of our trip to Rome and booked Welcome Piram Hotel for one night a couple of weeks before we left on our trip. We arrived at the hotel at around 11:00 a.m. and even though check in wasn't until later in the day, Beatrice was wonderful and managed to let us have our room about 20 minutes later. She was awesome and we really appreciated her kindness and beautiful smile!

Our room apparently was an upgrade and was actually two rooms, one with a sofa bed and the other room with two twin beds. Everything was nice and clean, including the bathroom. The decor was very nice and we even had a small balcony. The wifi even was fairly fast inside our room.

The location is close to Termini in a safe neighborhood. We, as three women, didn't feel uncomfortable at any point.

We left early the next morning, before breakfast, as we wanted to be at the Vatican super early (plus with the jet lag, we woke up around 3:00 a.m. anyway). The hotel held our luggage with no problem. We didn't get a chance to have breakfast there, but I would imagine that it was probably good as well.

Welcome Piram Hotel was the best of the four hotels that we stayed at in Italy. I would absolutely stay here again if I ever get the chance to go back to Rome.

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon in February, we were travelling from northern Italy and wanted something close to the train station and airport. The location was excellent, only a few minutes walk from Termini and both metro and buses nearby. We walked around the neighbourhood at night and didn't feel unsafe. There are plenty of options for food nearby, though most are takeaway and we would have dinner elsewhere before returning to the hotel in the evenings anyway.

The room was lovely with beautiful antique furniture, plenty of space to spread out, the bathroom was clean and modern. We were very comfortable during our 4 night stay and always slept well. The staff at reception would usually say hello and goodbye to guests coming and going, which was nice.

The only downsides were the lifts which only worked about 20% of the time during our stay (even though there were 2 of them) meaning we had to walk up and down several flights of stairs each time we left or returned to the hotel. This would normally not be an issue, except my husband put his back out and was in a lot of pain having to take the stairs. And the wifi connection was a bit temperamental some nights.

On the whole, a very comfortable, spacious and good value hotel. We'd book again.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2015

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Piram in March 2015. Although the offered nightly rate was an awesome deal, breakfast was not included. If you end up in this situation, you will pay 15 euro per person per day to have a mediocre breakfast buffet at the hotel. This will add up if you spend more than a couple of nights at the hotel. Also, Rome charges a "tourist tax" which was not included in our original rate offer; beware. Our standard room was very clean, quiet and comfortable and the bed was excellent. The TV was small and reception was poor, though you should not be spending your vacation in Rome watching the tube. There was free Wi-Fi though it did not always work. The room safe was functional. The area to the north and west of the hotel is safe to walk through, however there are many suspicious characters that hang around the Termini station at night; avoid this area. You can walk to all of the major attractions in Rome from the hotel and there are also two Metro stations nearby. You can also take advantage of the Leonardo train from the Termini station to get directly to Fiumicino airport for 14 euros per person instead of taking an expensive taxi. Overall, the hotel is a very reasonable choice but be skeptical if the nightly rate seems too good to be true.
