Aenea's was a great place to stay for me and my friend's weeklong vacation in Rome. The B&B is a 3-minute walk from the train station, which allows you to get anywhere in the city (and back) very easily. There is a kitchen, which is great for storing snacks or reheating food and each room has a DVD player and a few DVDs. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The one downside was that the woman who met us to check us in only spoke Italian and French, though fortunately the person I was traveling with spoke French so we were able to communicate.

Clean, comfortable and convenient. My wife and I have visited Rome many times and would certainly recommend and stay at Aenea again ourselves. This is a gem in a city where accommodation is often expensive and poor value.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Aenea's B&B for 5 nights in November and we loved it! It is located very near the main Termini Station which makes it very easy to navigate around the rest of rome. The area is slightly shady, but I think that's the same around the main station in any city. We never felt intimidated - it's also very near the main bus station which makes it easy to catch a bus into town rather than the metro (the 64 bus goes nearly everywhere!)

We stayed in the white room, which was gorgeous. It has a lovely 4 poster bed and beautiful furniture. It's just the right size also, not too small as I have heard a lot of hotel rooms in Rome are.

The only (tiny) bad thing was that you could sometimes hear the other people in the B&B if they were in the communal area which woke us up a few times and is quite annoying.

All in all I had a lovely stay here and will be visiting again the next time i'm in Rome!

What a little gem this place is. We arranged with the B&B for taxi to pick us up from the airport and take us into the B&B, which meant we had no problem finding it, as others seem to have done. We were met by an extremely nice lady, who was there every day and spoke very good English, so we had not problem with communication. The room was large enough and was very clean and airy and also had air conditioning. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was spotless if a bit small, with a plentiful supply of hot water. The breakfast was adequate. It was self service with cakes, fruit juice, bread and coffee available. There was fruit on the day first morning but once that was gone it was not replaced so we bought in our own fruit in. The area around the B&B was a bit rough but at no time did we feel uncomfortable or threatened. We tried the restaurant nearby, recommended by the B&B, the food was dreadful and expensive. There are lots of places to eat and drink in the area, prices and quality vary greatly. The B&B was very close to the termini and was ideal for catching the metro or buses, so getting around central Rome, and further afield, was very easy. We bought a pass in the Termini which lasted for the week (as we stayed for 7 nights) for 16 euros which enabled us to use the any of the buses and the metro at any time, which was great value.
I would certainly recommend this B&B and would defiantly stay there again.

Arriving in Rome by train, this B&B is conveniently situated a few minutes walk from the Termini station.
When looking for this place, you may struggle to find it without the building number as the B&B is in fact a large section of the 4th floor of an unmarked apartment building.
However, it truly is a hidden gem once you've taken the old fashioned lift to the 4th floor.
The lady who runs the establishment greeted us with a warm welcome & guided me around the breakfast kitchen.
She also gave me a map of Rome & pointed out the key sights.
The room was everything we needed. A decent sized shower equipped bathroom, a four poster bed, window blinds that open onto a typical Roman street & even a DVD player with films that when watched at night snuggled with a loved one & the mood lighting, it's perfect!
I'm not sure I will return to Rome as I've seen all I need to see but for all visiting, give this place a try. It's good for couples & families alike.

  • Liked — Convenient location, interesting decor, DVD player, four poster bed, friendly staff.
