We stayed here in late June 2007. Andrea couldn't have been more helpful. From his orientation when we arrived to the cleanliness of our room, we really enjoyed this hotel. Two from our party stayed in the flat - this was a great place for everyone in our group to relax. The mattress was very firm - some from our party liked this, others didn't. The room cooled off once we turned on the A/C. Location was perfect and very safe - be sure to check out all of Andrea's recommended restaurants.

Things to remember: No alarm clocks, pack your own. If you're a sleeper who is light- or sound-sensitive, you might want an eye mask or ear plugs.

This hotel is about 1/2kms from the train station so an easy walk.
We were welcomed and helped up the two flights of stairs to our room. The room was large with a good size bathroom.
We had friends staying at another hotel and invited them to join us about 6.30pm - we were told we were not allowed guest unless prior organised with the owners - we were allowed to have visitors for half an hour on this occassion. The next night
I advised the owner that our two friends were meeting us at our hotel before dinner - we were advised that this was against their policy and my friend could stay only 5 minutes. I found this most
unusual. The trouble is that this hotel has no lobby or any other place to meet friends.
I was travelling with my daughter of 16years and neither of us were able to have a long enough hot shower to be able to remove
the shampoo and conditioner in our hair. The last morning we were leaving at 7.15 am and the first shower of 3 minutes was luke warm and my daughters shower was cold we were leaving for a 26 hour flight home that day!!
The location of this hotel is very good but the two problems above
gave us a very negative and unwelcome feeling in this hotel.

Probably the coolest thing about this hotel is that if you stick your head out the window and look to the left, you can see the colliseum right down the street (a 10-minute walk). The location is great, with easy access to Roman forum area and buses that take you to other sites.

They were undergoing some renovations while we were there, but it wasn't very noisy at all. The lack of air conditioning was a bit uncomfy, but the room itself was clean and had a comforting rustic vibe to it. Oddly, the bathroom was very modern.

The owner was friendly and helpful. Definitely take him up on his gelato place recommendation. It was the best I had in Italy!

The hotel is in a great location. Walkable to the Colosseum and other major attractions. You can catch the major buses a block away from the hotel on one of the main streets. The hotel is located on a very safe street and the rooms are clean.

The manager/owner, Andres, was very friendly and helpful. Even though we had to walk up a flight of stairs to our room, he insisted on helping us with our suitcases.

Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

We arrived late in Rome and the concierge was there to greet us. My wife and I had booked a 2 person room. At the last minute, her brother (stationed in the military over in Europe), was able to join us for the trip and planned on just staying in the bedroom with us and sleeping on the floor. Apparently, the rules in Rome do not allow for such conditions and a 2 person room means that only 2 people can occupy the room at any given time. So with night upon us, her brother had to go searching for another room in the city. The concierge provided some recommendations, but it would have been much more helpful had he been able to whip out a phonebook or something.

Anyways, I don't know if this rule applies all over Rome, but I thought it was kind of ridiculous that we could not even have guests in our room for the day just to visit. Is this the case throughout Rome? Maybe they should reconsider this law?

Overall, the location of the hotel was good. Very close proximity to the train station and the sites. Almost central to both. The room was clean and modern. It was actually very spacious as well.

The bed was less than desirable. It felt like I was sleeping on a rock. There also wasn't any air conditioning, at least that I could find, and there was no way you could sleep with the windows open with the noise from Rome.

In my opinion, there appeared to be several other accomodations in the vicinity that would be worth considering before this one.
