The best thing about Casa Navona is the location, but that is not the only good thing. The place was clean and spacious. We did have a problem with the hot water but it was quickly and courteously corrected as soon as we contacted the management. It is never pleasant to find a problem with a place that you are staying in, but when they correct it with such professionalism that makes you want to come back. And we will. And we will recommend it to our friends.
The place is not fancy, but is more that adequate. With a location like this you don't want to spend much time at the hotel so the lack of a lounge, restaurant, etc. is no loss. It is a great place to relax, sleep and get ready for all the time that you should spend walking the historic city (with culture, shopping and great dinning) that Casa Navona puts you in the heart of.

I stayed at Casa Navona for 2 nights, and it is was very well-located and sizable. The apartment had a sitting room with a television and DVD player and wi-fi available for 3 euros/day. It had a full kitchen with a fridge, stove, sink and dishes. The bedroom had a queen-size bed with a big closet with towels and linens. The apartment was well-kept and cozy and I could see Piazza Navona from my window itself. Be sure to indicate when you will be arriving when you book. A staff person met me when I arrived to give me my key and orient me to the apartment, which was really helpful.

I think the single apartment is probably ideal for 2 people, I found it a bit too much space for me, but I enjoyed my stay nonetheless. The apartment is within a block of Piazza Navona and short walking distance from the Campo dei Fiori. I also walked from the apartment to the Castel Sant'Angelo and the Vatican.

Casa Navona is ideal if you're looking for a spacious place close to Piazza Navona at a very reasonable price.

I stayed there for a week in the topmost, fourth-floor, apartment. It's got several major assets: the location, of course, means that you're twenty minutes' walk to the Vatican, maybe twenty-five minutes to the Forum, and a similar distance to the Villa Borghese. For tourist Rome it could not be better. The immediate neighborhood is fascinating, with the Piazza Navona on its doorstep and a myriad of excellent and not too expensive restaurants just minutes away. Serena, the manager, was quite helpful, both with local information and with speedy attention when needed. If you do not need the services a hotel offers the situation is just about perfect, with its full (albeit small) kitchen. The rooms are significantly larger than what you could possibly get in any other European hotel, and the 24/7 fast wireless (costing 3 Euros a day) was also far superior to nearly any other Rome hotel I looked into. And while the street outside is loud - don't expect to sleep with the windows open - it's also a 24/7 show right outside your windows. But you can also close the wonderfully thick, double-glazed windows and have a near-silent room, quietly air-conditioned. For the kind of traveling I like to do, this was the best possible solution. To sum up: room size, location, cleanliness, and facilities are head and shoulders above nearly any other hotel in that area.

Travelling to Rome for the first time with children is daunting. Where to stay? Will there be enough space? Will the showers work? I'd have to say we lucked out with our choice of Casa Navona. It's so central that all of the major attractions in the historic centre can be reached on foot, including the famous Piazza Navona right outside the front door! The apartment is clean, roomy, climate controlled, and yes, the shower works fine! There is even a small stocked kitchenette with a fridge. Very handy for in-room breakfasts and snacks. The staff arranged for a door to door airport shuttle...worth the money. All in all, a great place to use as your home base for a wonderful visit in Rome.

We stayed in Casa Navona for 5 nights from 8/16-8/23/09. We booked the 1st floor apartment which we were told was recently renovated. Prior to our arrival, I had exchanged many emails with the Casa Navona's staff inquiring everything about the apartment and beyond. The CN staff (especially Serena) was very responsive. They usually replied within 24 hours with the information I requested. It almost feels like they are there just for us. We were quite impressed with CN even before we actually saw the apartment.
When we arrived at the apartment, Serena was already there waiting for us. She did a complete walk through of the apartment making sure we were comfortable with everything (lights, appliances, etc). The 1 bedroom apartment was extremely clean, and very spacious. For the 3 of us, it is more than enough space. The furniture was very new and very functional. It has 2 air conditioners – 1 in the living room and 1 in bedroom. With the weather up in the 38-40c, we really needed both. Even though we were on the 1st floor, once you closed the window, you blocked out all the noises. The apartment is located right in the heart of the city. You can walk to almost every major attractions or historical sites. Even if you need to take a taxi, the fare will be no more than 5-8 Euros. There is a supermarket nearby so you can get fruit, water, etc; in addition, there is a taxi stand across the street.
For the location, price, clean & nice apartment, and service, we are extremely happy with Casa Navona. Just 1 example on the service – on Sat, our hair dryer, for some reason, didn’t work. Since it was a Sat, we weren’t sure if the CN staff were available. We sent an email to Serena anyway asking for help anyway knowing that she may not be available on Sat (again, we are not in hotel). An hour later, a gentleman came and knocked on our apartment door and offered to check/fix on our hair-dryer (amazing!). Apparently, Serena checked her email frequently. She saw our email, and immediately asked one the worker to come to our rescue. That’s great service.
