I was a little skeptical at first because I couldn't book on expedia and had to deal with staff via email...however they were incredibly responsive (just find their website on google and email them directly). They were there to greet upon arrival. Within 5 minutes of arrival we had a living room/kitchen, full bed room apartment with a tv. The view is over Piazza navona, which is touristy, but beautiful and full of people. The best part is that the streets off the piazza are great for wandering to find patios for dinner/drinks. Can walk to all the sites easily, and home easily at night from dinners/nightlife. Even trestevere is a reasonable walk for dinner/a night out across the river. Highly recommended, although during the down season is the best deal, I would still pay more in high season, especially if I had someone for the pull out couch and cot that come with the place (group of 4 or 5 could stay here easily).

ONLY cons: hot water heater is manual and small, so turn it on in the bathroom when you get there and keep it on. limited "hotel" stuff like shampoos and guy at a front desk to tell you where to go....pharmacy around the corner and plenty of streets to roam if you are adventurous (plus maps in the apartment with a few recommendations...although they weren't great).

also, we were traveling by train. 12 dollar cab ride from termini. cab stand across the street so you can always just hop in a cab and get to the train within 10 minutes.

I looked all over tip advisor/venere/etc.
there is no better location/deal in rome, unless you want to stay outside of the action of center rome (trestevere, etc.).

no frills, and wi fi was spotty. bottom line: great base camp in the middle of everything.

Ever wonder what it would be like to live like a modern day Roman? Stay at Casa Navona and find out! Casa Navona is in a primo location--BEST neighborhood in Rome. Walk to many, many sites--the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps--NEED I say more. This is your apartment in Rome. View is incredible..look down on real Italian living. Pretend you have your own cute little apartment--with a livingroom, bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom. I wouldn't stay anywhere else--except maybe their sister property Suite Beccaria up near Piaza del Popolo! Don't compromise on location--its not worth it...STAY AT CASA NAVONA. It is perfetto! Almost forgot -- Serena is so helpful and accomodating. She deserves some praise for how welcome she made us feel.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Somehow, at the last minute we decided on this apartment from a previously booked hotel near the train station. Sure glad we did!
Serena, the manager; provided excellent prompt service by email and in person. The apartments have an excellent location just north of Piazza Navona, in fact you can see the ruins across the street.
The Pantheon is a five minute walk and the Trevi Fountain a 10 minute walk. The Vatican is a 15 minute walk across the picturesque bridges that cross the Tiber. The area is very safe.
Traffic is very busy but with the windows closed you can't hear the street noise. There is a nice little restaurant below that is part of a restaurant across the street.
The people of Rome are very gracious and proud of their city. Our only regret was that we did not plan to stay more than 3 nights. Oh well, we will just have to go back!

What a great location, staying at Casa Navona allowed us to be within walking distance to all the major Rome attractions: Vatican City, Coliseum, Spanish Steps just to name a few. Not to mention Piazza Navona itself (right across the street!).

Serena at Casa Navona was very friendly and helpful when we had questions before leaving for Rome, she also helped us find some alternate accommodations for our last night because she did not have any availability.

The place itself was pretty big, with tall ceilings and a separate living room that had a couch and tv. The equipped kitchen was nice to have, although we really only used the fridge.

There isn't really a front desk or anything like that. I had booked a driver through Casa Navona and he was able to contact Serena for us once we arrived. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have known what to do or where to go. The housekeeper was already at the apartment and so was the previous tenant but neither of them knew any Engilsh.
