We booked this hotel online after reading a lot of good reviews for it. After staying in 6 good hotels in Switzerland and Venice, when we reached Rome, we were not expecting such a shock. The hotel wasn't very far from the Termini (train station), which was a good thing. But if you have luggade, then its best to take a cab, its still a good 10- 15 minute walk to it. The lobby of the hotel was very nice and the guy at reception seemed nice too. When we said we were on our honeymoon, he assured that he given us one of their best rooms. The room he gave us was on 2nd floor (2nd in Europe is 3rd in US), and there was no elevator so we had to lug our luggage all the way up. The room was really small, with the bathroom so small that it was impossible to stand and brush at the sink. The toilet seat had a crack in it. Believe me, we had been to small family owned B&B rooms which were much bigger than this room. There was one far to reach window, which was closed. Their was no ventilation in the room. And the sheets smelled of dust.
The breakfast was average, what we had been getting everywhere else. The staff was helpful only to a certain extent. After telling you one thing, if you asked a few more questions, they would curtly reply that its best we find it ourselves.
We won't recommend this to anyone. Its not that it was very cheap hotel that we wouldnt mind staying there.
