I stayed in Martini Hotel, Rome with my family from June 19 to June 24 in this year. It is a family operated small hotel. The price for the quadro room was 170 euro. The hotel locates on the 4th floor of the very nice building with the elevator. The room was spacey, and it was nicely decorated. The bathroom was huge and nice! There were some scratches on the ceiling, but we could see it only when we looked up, and it was not really major defect. The conditioner worked a little weak, but the owner fixed it for us, and it started working perfectly. We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The breakfast was simple, but nice. The cappuccino and espresso were made individually for each person and were great. The staff spoke English, and everyone was very nice. The location of the hotel is very good. 15 minutes walking to the Trevi Fountains. We did not use the bus at all and walked everywhere: Coliseum, Forum, even to Vatican (35 minutes nice walk), but the bus stop is right across a street, and the muni station is around the corner. The hotel located on the famous street Via Nationally with a lot of nice shops and small restaurants. Next to the hotel's door is a very nice bar with outside seating area. My parents are planning to go to Italy next summer, and I recommended them this hotel from all of my heart. It will be impossible to find better place for this price especially if you have a family of 4 people and do not mind to share the room with your kids.
