What a find - this is a rare gem, fantastic quality service, very clean newly refurbished rooms (no corners cut, excellent furnishings & fittings). This is family run hotel where the staff are genuine lovely helpful people. Not a corporate chain staffed by disinterested part-timers! Perfectly situated in a quite area within easy walking distance of all tourist attractions except perhaps Trastavere. We were absolutely spoilt for choice for places to eat out. There are so many reasonably priced places to eat out with great atmosphere that we ran out of time! A week is not long enough in Rome! We are looking forward to returning to Rome sometime and look forward to staying again with Guiseppe and his family.

The car service they booked from the airport was a great and reasonable convenience at 40E. A driver picked us up, carried our bags, didn't allow us to get in his chic mercedes until the air conditioner had kicked in, and pointed out many landmarks as we drove for an hour in heavy traffic. We felt very taken care of. The hotel room was small but very clean & affordable, great location. The family made great restaurant recommendations and was very helpful. Best breakfast room on our trip to Europe (except for silly American xmas music playing in May-haha). Laptop w/ internet for guest use was a great extra.

The Hotel Golden is in a pretty good location and very reasonably priced for Rome. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the bedroom and bathroom were very small. We stayed 3 nights and the room was fine for this long but might have felt cramped if we'd stayed for a whole holiday.

The Hotel Golden family and staff were excellent from the first time we emailed them 3 months before our trip to the last day we stayed there. We were in room 111 and it was very quite and roomy. The bathroom was a nice size as well. Everything was very clean. The toilet would be a little tight for a tall person, but was fine for me(5'9") and my wife. Breakfast was simple and very good every morning. Giuseppe and Marco gave us great recommendations for places to eat and how to get around town. I would highly recommend this hotel in a great location.
