The car service they booked from the airport was a great and reasonable convenience at 40E. A driver picked us up, carried our bags, didn't allow us to get in his chic mercedes until the air conditioner had kicked in, and pointed out many landmarks as we drove for an hour in heavy traffic. We felt very taken care of. The hotel room was small but very clean & affordable, great location. The family made great restaurant recommendations and was very helpful. Best breakfast room on our trip to Europe (except for silly American xmas music playing in May-haha). Laptop w/ internet for guest use was a great extra.

The Hotel Golden is in a pretty good location and very reasonably priced for Rome. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the bedroom and bathroom were very small. We stayed 3 nights and the room was fine for this long but might have felt cramped if we'd stayed for a whole holiday.

The Hotel Golden family and staff were excellent from the first time we emailed them 3 months before our trip to the last day we stayed there. We were in room 111 and it was very quite and roomy. The bathroom was a nice size as well. Everything was very clean. The toilet would be a little tight for a tall person, but was fine for me(5'9") and my wife. Breakfast was simple and very good every morning. Giuseppe and Marco gave us great recommendations for places to eat and how to get around town. I would highly recommend this hotel in a great location.

We stayed at Hotel Golden for 5 days in late April 2009. Our room (101) was big with king bed lots of pillows, and very nice bath with toilet and bidet. Change of towels everyday even a bathrope were there for each of us.
The breakfast is solid, with several kind of bread, serials, fresh fruit,juice, eggs and ham and good coffee. Even chocolate cake and small sweet italian cakes are served.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and the family will take care of you.
The hotel is in a quiet area 10 min walk from Piazza Barberini whre you will find buses and a metrostation.
The hotel offers airport pickup for 40 euro - thats a good choice.
Our room was superior and we paided 128 euro pr. night incl. breakfast
