We stayed here for 3 nights in October 2009 in a double room with shared bathroom. The best thing about this place is the location...it is literally 50 metres to the Trevi fountain, with lots of cafes and restaurants all around. It is also walking distance to many of the major sights (Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Piazza Espagna) and only a 5 minute walk to the main shopping street (Via Dei Corso).
It was a big climb to our room on the 4th floor (Very narrow stairs at the top) - no lift. The staff were pretty unfriendly. The girl who checked us in couldn't speak any English and had a lot of difficulty working out the number of nights we were staying. The girl who gave us breakfast was also unfriendly and the breakfast was pretty bad - prepackaged pastries, juice and coffee and that's all.
The room itself is tiny - our room had a sloped ceiling so we couldn't stand up straight in most of it (and we are pretty short!). A tall person would not be able to stay in this room. It had a decent bed and also a tv, fridge and safe (not the most secure looking safe..anyone could just pick it up and walk away). Also had a cupboard that started collapsing every time we opened it. However the room and shared bathroom were clean and it is decent place to sleep if you're trying to stick a budget...would probably not stay here again though.
