My wife and I stayed here in May for four nights. We enjoyed the location and walked to everything (but bring your walking shoes!). Some great restaurants right around the corner and interesting shops. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hosts very gracious.

If we return to Rome we will definitely stay here again.

Marco was the perfect host, his residenza was very convenient, in a neat neighborhood, and the hotel room was very clean and pleasant...A/C was nice to have in the hot weather, we would go back in a new york minute

This B&B, tucked into a quiet corner of the trendy Testaverre neighborhood, is a great base for exploring the highlights of Rome on foot, and Marco, the owner, gives you excellent advice on how to get to your destination. The Vatican, Ancient Rome, and Spanish Steps are within 30 minutes on foot. We stayed for a week and walked to a different destination every day, stopping on the way for coffee, lunch or a drink.

You feel like part of the neighborhood without being isolated. The rooms are pretty big and have air conditioning, so it's really comparable to a hotel once you're inside your room, but the overall ambiance is definitely of staying in someone's home.

Marco and his wife Gianna are natural hosts and a major benefit of staying here. They give you an insider's knowledge of Rome, what's interesting, and how to get their. Marco will gladly make restaurant reservations for you; he even walked with us to a newspaper kiosk to make sure we knew how to buy tram tickets.

I highly recommend this to any traveler who wants an authentic Roman experience.

Our 5 night stay at Arco dei Tolomei went as smoothly as could be hoped. Marco and Gianna (mostly Marco as he's the politician, as Gianna is smart and stays in the background) were warm, very helpful and as pleasant to be around as one could hope. The room was large, the bathroom ample and the deck outside was a saving grace. Many thanks for your hospitality and we look forward to a return someday.
