I stayed at the Hosianum Palace for 2 nights in early May, 2009. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Rome who likes to stay in a centrally located and clean hotel.

I did book this hotel using points from my credit card, so did not pay the rack rate. However prior to my arrival, when I checked the hotel's website it was quoting a rate of 120Euro per night for a single, since I've returned home the website is quoting double rooms for the fall months at 245 Euro per night.

I had a single room on the 4th floor. Which I felt, for European standards, was rather roomy. When entering the room the bathroom (which was small, but very clean and had everything you would need) was immediately on the right, then 2 steps down and there was the bed (a twin size), a desk with flat screen TV, a wardrobe with a safe inside and plenty of hangers and a luggage rack. The ceiling was slanted, being the top floor and the window was high, so that I couldn't see out of it, but there really wasn't anything to see anyway.

I slept with the window open and there was no street noise at all, even though the street the hotel is on is just off a fairly busy thoroughfare. Being a holiday weekend the hotel was completely booked and I never heard any other guests in the rooms around me.

I did not have any need to have lengthy dealings with the staff, but they were pleasant during the check-in and check-out process.

The breakfast was included in the price of the hotel and at this time of year it is in the lower level breakfast room. It was actually 2 fairly large rooms with a buffet breakfast set up. Both hot and cold items were on the buffet and the server would bring cappuccino if requested. I thought the breakfast selections were varied...eggs, bacon, cheeses, ham, yogurts, cereals, breads, pastries, fruits and juices.

The location could not have been better, just around the corner from Piazza Venezia and a few blocks away from Largo Argentina. Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori about a 10 minute walk away.

I highly recommend!

Stayed here for three nights at the start of May. While small it had everything one needed for a few nights in Rome. Its central location was excellent, with all the main attractions being only a short walk away. The room we stayed in was very clean and while it was small it had everything. Staff were lovely and very helpful, giving us directions to all the sights. The only little thing was the roof top terrace was not open for breakfast, which would have been lovely.

The Hosianum Palace had really good reviews but we were slightly disappointed with it overall. The staff were delightful and the location pretty central but our room was in the rafters, so whilst big was actually quite cramped due to the beams. The brown carpet looked like it had been there a few years too long to be really clean, the bathroom was tiny and there was very little storage space to speak of. The inside bar was also tiny, but the rooftop bar was very pleasant.

I stayed at the Hosianum Palace for 5 nights - I stayed in 2 different rooms (the single room wasn't available on the first night so I had a double) and both were exceptionally clean and well furnished. The locations is perfect - 5mins from the wedding cake, 10-15mins from the forum in one direction and Piazza Navona in the other. Piazza Navona is brilliant for evening entertainment - street artists\painters\food etc. There is also a supermarket about 10mins from the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for two nights. The location was great. Staff was more the friendly with restaurant recomendations and general help. Breakfast was the typical italian continental style. I never did see the pretty inside courtyard area, but that doesn't matter. The beds were very comforatable, rooms and bathroom a little smaller than most Italian hotels. Would stay there again for sure. The rooms were clean and that is all that generally matters when in Rome!!
