- Got this as a last-minute airplane & hotel package.
- Per the warning of other tripadvisors, we didn't accept small & cramped room #6 w/c was behind the front desk. But immediately requested and was granted another room. (They noted that we referred to "tripadvisor" as a reason to transfer.)
ACCOMMODATIONS: Room #9 was clean and excellent--double bed, 2 night tables, a writing desk, a window seat, a wardrobe, and a small refrigerator. They provided a portable heater--but we never used it bec. the hotel was warm enough.
- Stayed 5 nights and got fresh towels and toiletries every day.
- Compact toilet, shower & bidet; enough room to hang our drying laundry.
- Computer and internet was available during normal waking hours.
SECURITY: Inside, the B&B was safe. Front desk monitors visitors through staircase and mini-elevator. The floor is locked down at night.
- Outside, the neighborhood is safe. We came home late at night and left early morning and had no trouble.
FOOD: Wife loved breakfast of capuccino, chocolate butter over croissant, and yogurt.
- There are pizzerias and cafeterias around the corner w/c are reasonably priced and serve good food.
- Went grocery shopping at Conad in the Termini.
DIRECTIONS: From Termini, take the red line towards Anagnina and exit at first stop, Vittorio Emanuele. Follow signs to Via Carlo Alberto. At end of long hallway, go left, then right, and go up the steps to street level. This should put you on the left side of Via Carlo Alberto. Ahead of you is a small church and at the end of the block is a larger church, Santa Maria Maggorie. You will find Buonarroti on the left just pass the small church. The nameplate is small but the street numbering is clear. Note: the street names are on the sides of older buildings.
