Very good hotel. We stayed in an apartment ('the loft') which is in a building next to the main hotel.
It had lots of room with 2 big bedrooms, a mini kitchen, two bathrooms, a very large living room. The rooms were comfortable, clean, modern, and well equipped (very minor quibble, one of the shower rooms wasn't in such good shape).
The room was very well equipped with big screen satellite TV, hair dryers, ironing board, etc etc.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The large breakfast buffet was very good value to have in the price.
Access to the city centre is very easy - a tram stop is directly across the road. We never had to wait more than 5 mins for a tram (we travelled between 9am and 10pm) and then it was about 10minutes journey into the city centre. Taking a taxi is a mistake, it takes a lot longer and costs more.
The hotel is on a busy main road, but the sound insulation was good and we didn't hear the traffic at all.

Excellent hotel and good price.

The rooms are the highlight of this hotel. Though slightly small, our room was very well appointed, extremely quiet, and had a great bed in a country where beds can be problematic. The bathroom was an appropriate size and featured gorgeous marble flooring. The Dr. Evil shower (see picture) was the most sophisticated shower we encountered in Italy. It had a standard sliding shower head, an overhead shower, and jet spray in addition to a radio and some sort of sauna mode. My wife insisted that I figure it out first.

I might give this hotel five stars but we needed to fill one extra day in Rome on short notice and therefore paid €250 for one night, a value / price proposition that only merits four stars. Plus the internet was not free, though after chiding them about being a four star hotel and pointing out the price I was paying, they did give me free internet; however the WiFi only worked in the lobby area.

This hotel and our room face a large intersection, one that is rather charmless in a city where beauty is nearly everywhere. If you are staying for a few days this could be a bit of a letdown. However, the tram line does run conveniently past the hotel.

We were disappointed with this hotel. We had booked to stay in Trastevere as we had read that it was picturesque and thought it would be a nice quiet wind-down to a busy 10 day sightseeing tour of Italy. We did not think it was pictureseque at all unless the reviewer is referring to the massive amounts of graffiti everywhere. We felt the area was rather run-down. That is, of couse, not the fault of the hotel. The hotel was very conveniently located for the tram service, which we took full advantage of, to travel back across the River Tiber. The hotel itself smelt a bit odd upon arrival, as did the room, I wonder if that is something to do with the spa at the hotel. The spa looked nice, however, it was expensive to use which meant that we didn't use it. I couldn't see that the rates of the spa were on the website. We had booked the hotel because we had wanted to use the spa, but it was expensive which could be made a bit clearer on the website. The hotel room was small, clean and functional with a balcony. The bathroom had a very impressive shower with lots of jets and a radio, which we liked although the bathroom did smell a bit odd but we did get used to it. One of the members of staff was very helpful and showed us where to visit. It is an added bonus if the staff are helpful, we did not find the other members of staff particularly helpful. I think this is probably a hotel for business use and as leisure travellers, I got the impression we weren't quite the clients they wanted, but the attitude of the staff may not affect other people who want to stay here. The hotel does have a nice rooftop bar which we liked. You can see a long way although the view is not very nice but again, this is not the hotel's fault. This hotel was ok but we were a bit disappointed.

We stayed at the Trilussa Palace hotel from 4th-7th October 2009. We found our stay very pleasant indeed. The staff were wonderful and polite, especially Paolo who we found to be very friendly and informative.
The hotel is situated in the Trastevere area of Rome, not too far from the river Tiber and has a tram stop opposite. There is easy access from there to all the main attractions like the colosseum and vatican city.
The room was very neat, we were upgraded to a superior room due to the voucher that was purchased off eBay. There was a top of the range multi-shower and the bed had a memory foam mattress which made our nights very comfortable.
Breakfast was nice in the downstairs restaurant, and we did eat in the roof garden restaurant using one of our vouchers to claim a 3 course meal for 2 people. It was very average and i definately would'nt pay to eat up there considering the lovely restaurants which are situated in the Trastevere.
All in all i would go back again. Paolo gave me a business card and told me if i was to go again to book directly at the hotel and i would be given a courtesy discount.
I would recommend my relatives and closest friends to stay here.

I would like to say Hello (Buongiorno) to Paolo. Hope you are well?

The hotel is easy to locate and offers an underground parking service essential for Rome! Very near Trastevere (10-minute walk) and you can enter the Porta Portese market (Sundays) by crossing the road. Small, neat lobby with friendly and available staff. The room was on the ground floor and extremely small - couldn't really move around the bed - but clean and nicely decorated. Great features were the light in the wardrobe and the multi-function shower jets, although the water took ages to warm up and never really got hot. Didn't try out the roof garden cafè or the spa facilities (short trip) although they were offering an interesting spa/massage deal when we got there.
