I really enjoyed my stay at the Trilussa in Trastevere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was VERY convenient and it was nice to stay just outside of Roma across the river. There is a very convenient Tram $1euro each way (~10 minutes) to Rome (get off at end of that tram's track at ...Aregentina....

Or, you can catch a cab/taxi for reasonable fare and short time (about $8-$10 euro from hotel to San. Pietro / St. Peter's Square).

The hotel was clean, in good condition, and well maintained. There is a nice rooftop terrace that is open for guests to access via elevator.

Some room rates include a breakfast buffet in the hotel's restaurant. The breakfast is very good. It had a lot of items and the have both italian tastes and many american style breakfast items.

taxi fare from FCO to the hotel is about $45 euro.

I also liked the Trastevere area near ponte sisto / pzza san. maria.

spend 2 nights at this hotel. kind and helpful service. rooms was nice and clean. good parking. they help us show where to take a train on the street to center off the town. just outside the hotel. very easy. great breckfast aswell. they olso gave us a adress fore a perfect local restaurant in a rearly local part off rome. perfect evening. we will go there again...

What a terrific hotel to stay at. After 8 hrs of flight from the states, we only had to wait 30 minutes for our room. Meanwhile it's located in a quiet resisdential area but right where you would want it to be. Across from Porta Portese, the flea market on sunday , the tram which takes you to the center of Rome to catch other buses like to the vatican is across the road. The T to get your tickets for buses, Tram, & metro is right next door as is the post office & ATM machine.On Arrival we were greeted by a wonderful receptionist who checked us in & than proceeded around the corner to a map of Rome & showed us how to get around, to use the Tram & buses to all your favorite attractions. Our room was triple. Plenty of room W/ TV a safe, wonderful foam mattress & great blankets. the bathroom was good size & shower a bit small but great back spray. the maid cleaned wonderful in the a.m. & turned down the bed at night. Breakfast was much more than just continental & a great staff to help you with breakfast. I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat. Up the streeet lots of vendors to buy great stuff & some wonderful restaurants & pizza parlors. Also a great outdoor bar and sitting room on the roof. Great view of the area around. Excellent position, with the Tram passing out front. 16 Euro for a weekly pass was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff, from Roberto, the very helpful and knowledgeable Restaurant Manager to Paulo at the front desk, who helped us get around.

Very clean, excellent in-house breakfast and dinner with a shower from outer space providing you with a spa and sauna in your room. BBC and CNN available for English-speakers but internet costs $15/2 days.
