I stayed in a huge gorgeous room with every amenity for 3 nights (at the time a truly great bargain at just 70 Euros a night!). The bed was giant and comfortable, the all-marble en-suite bathroom modern and stunning, and my room's tall windows opened onto a sweet little courtyard. There was no noise whatsoever, leading to a great lie in, followed by a nice (packaged) breakfast in the self-catering kitchen. Also, the non-smoking room really was non-smoking: no cigarette odor whatsoever!

All in all, the best accommodations we had in Italy that trip. We saw no staff at Susy's, as we arrived at an odd time and I left before dawn, but for all that, we had no trouble getting in and getting around and I highly recommend this cute, cute place.

You'll have to take the metro or some *very* long walks to any "sights" save the Vatican and St. Peter's, but it's worth it for the peace and quiet and value.

My wife and I stayed at BB Susy for four nights in early January - beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and a joy to stay in. It was pouring with rain when we arrived late in the evening, so we got a bit lost walking from the Metro, despite having exchanged emails and received good directions. We had arranged a meeting time (as there is no receptionist at the B&B) and the proprietors phoned us on my (English) mobile when we hadn't shown at the agreed time. They gave us extra directions and Roberto, the proprietor, came out to meet us in the pouring rain.
We were made to feel most welcome throughout our stay and it felt as if we had become part of the family: breakfast was good, with freshly brewed coffee, tea, sweet croissant-type rolls etc. and the two ladies who take care of serving breakfast, cleaning, etc chatted like old friends (I had the advantage of being able to speak Italian - it may be a bit disconcerting if you don't do Italian, as they are happy to sit on the sofa and chat while the guests eat breakfast - please don't take offence, they are only exchanging family gossip!). Their local knowledge of bus routes and attractions etc supplimented the generous supply of maps and other useful printed information.
We had an excellent break - the location couldn't have been better whether you wanted to use public transport or walk in to the city centre.
We would have no hesitation in returning and recommending it to others.

We were delighted with B&B Susy! Before leaving we exchanged emails with Susy and therefore had clear directions to give our cab. We were met promptly upon arrival and made very welcome in a beautiful comfy clean room furnished with lovely antiques and with a window opening on a beautiful quiet tree lined street. The communal breakfast with other guests was a delight every morning and the information, maps, umbrellas, and services provided by the hotel personnel were outstanding. The neighborhood has many delightful restaurants and cafes. The walk to the Vatican is only several blocks and to the Metro only about 5-8 minutes. In the past we've stayed elsewhere in Rome and been quite happy but now we've found a "permanent address" for future trips!

A San Pietro da Susy was nearly impossible to find. We were provided very poor directions. The area seems questionable with plenty of graffiti, but was very safe at night. Travelers should be aware that the parking recommended is 15 Euro per day and toiletries are not provided. The breakfast consists of coffee, juice, packaged croissants, biscotti and corn flakes. A San Pietro da Susy is however, extremely well furnished, comfortable and near to both the Metro and St. Peter's. It's nearness made a very easy commute to all the sites in Rome.

B&B Susy is a pleasant place to stay. It's a suite of three rooms in an apartment buliding near the Vatican. We were met by Roberto, Susy's husband, since there is no clerk on the premises. The room was large, clean and comfortable with high ceilings and a window overlooking a relatively quiet street. The bathroom was marble lined and had plenty of hot water. Breakfast of rolls and excellent coffee was served in a nicely appointed room. We enjoyed being away from the tourist center but were able to easily get around on the metro since Susy is near the Vatican stops. We felt it was a good value for Rome at 100 euros and would stay there again.
