“Great B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

Stayed for 4d/3n.
The location of the suites is the best. It's in the middle of everything and by opening the ancient door it's like you're in the middle of a party. Once inside the doors it's quiet and serene. The staff is great, friendly and accommodating. We were in the La Scala (?) suites which is on the ground floor and I love that we had some living area (small kitchen with table). It's also a plus that we can have breakfast in our room when we wanted. I am also satisfied with the breakfast choices and they supplied a generous amount and topped up sufficiently. We ended up not buying bottled water because they supplied so much we carried some around with us.
A small annoyance was that because there's an apartment above ours and since I'm a light sleeper I can hear the people upstairs moving around. Maybe they had heeled shoes but I can hear them prepare to leave around 11pm and when they come back at 2-3am. I'm not sure if management can do anything about that.
OVerall, I highly recommend this B&B. Maybe next time we can request a first floor apartment.

We stayed here in sept, this is the perfect place to stay if you want to be near everything. It's a corner turn away from Piazza Navona and you step out the front door to more restaurants than you can count. At first finding its a bit strange, luckly we had ordered a car service, the huge wooden doors we would have walked past on our own. The place doesn't look like much on the outside but it's perfect inside. It has a quaint looking courtyard by the front office anyone can use to relax with a bottle of wine, and spacious rooms. We stayed in the Paquino 1 suite which was perfect for our needs, it had a kitchen so we had breakfast and coffee before starting our day. A plus because it's always good to have coffee before leaving to go anywhere and it saves a lot on money in the end. Our room over looked a busy street with restaurants and bars but once you closed the double window we never heard a sound. The updated bathrooms were a plus and the a/c worked great. The manger Traian was the nicest most helpful staff member I have ever met anywhere in my travels. He and the other staff went out of their way to make sure you felt at home and had everything you needed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Rome. Perfect location great room and accommodations and helpful staff, is great when traveling someone where you are unsure about.

After touring along the Amalfi Coast for two weeks we needed to stay at a prime location in Rome for two nights. This hotel gave us exactly what we needed. It was clean, roomy and situated near the main attractions of Rome ~ we were able to walk to the Colosseum, Vatican City, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Fontana del Trevi, Piazza di Navona, Castel Sant' Angelo and so much more. In addition, the staff (front desk) was exceptional at helping us out with arranging for a cab (at 3am) to the airport. A huge thank you to Sylvia.

Great location, immaculate and excellent concierge service. The magnificent doors which greated us were impressive. The wonderful courtyard made us forget we were in the center of the ancient city of Rome. I've been to Rome a number of times - you cant beat this location!

Four of us stayed in the davinci room. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was excellent. I shared this room with my daughter and two of her teenage friends. There wasnt much room on either side of the beds so our suit cases wound up in the middle of the room - it seemed a bit cramped but it was sufficient.

There are 3 internet routers at this B&B. This is necessary due to the thick walls of the building. The router set up for our room wa not functional three nights during our stay.

The breakfast offering was not so special - there were croissants, donuts and coffee in the hotel lobby. There was a small refrigerator in our room which contained bottled water, juice, milk and some other convenient foods. The bottled waters were a nice offering - especially with the hot, hot weather we experienced in July.

The bathroom shower head was placed on the side of the shower directly above the bathtub faucet. It was an awkward design - i wound up hitting my thigh each time i tried to get under the water.

We stayed 4 nights and paid a little more than 300 ? per night .... Our friends stayed at the same lication. Their suite cost only 50? more per night and was much more functionsl, spacious and had its own internet router which could be restarted by the hotel guest.

If you have a choice - stay in thd suite. You will be much more confortable.

This is a fabulous location to base your Rome stay. A few yards from Piazza Navona. All the sights of Rome are within walkimg distance.
The hotel provides a fridge, coffee maker, toaster and kettle in the room. The fridge is well stocked. So rather than breakfast at set times you can use the facilties at any time. It might not suite those who enjoy the hotel experience but for the more independent it is spot on.
The staff are friendly and help organise whatever you require. The wifi works well.
Overall I would recommend it.

Family of 4 (parents and 15/17 yo girls) stayed at here Aug 13-17, 2013. Superb value for money! We were in the Michelangelo Suite--in a very well updated 15th century palazzo 5-15 minutes from everywhere--Pantheon, Vatican, Piazza Navona, We were greeted by Traian and later by Sylvia. Very helpful, knowledgeable and really wanted to help us have a fabulous experience in Rome. Wonderful queen sized bed and beautiful bathroom in master suite, with airconditioning that even my husband thought was perfect. Satelilte TV (he's an addict). Pull out sofa in large living room--which we did not use, and twin beds with their own lovely bathroom for the girls. Would accomodate 6 pretty easily. Well appointed full kitchen with breads, lunchmeats and cheeses, cereal, milk, water and more refreshed every day by the wondererful Camellia. We could have done full cooking on the 4 burner stove--but we didn't. We did breakfast on our verandah and relax with wine and beer there in the evening. Traian pointed us to outstanding local places to eat (and drink), and we enjoyed every recommendation. Spacious, clean, cool apartment in the heart of most of the places we wanted to see--well appointed, with helpful staff. Our new Roman home for the next time!

Room Tip: The web site describes the rooms very well, as do other travelers who have reviewed.

Perfect location..just a short stroll from Piazza Navona and lots of other major sites in fact you can walk to all major attractions. We were greeted by Silvia who is amazing and so helpful looking up anything we needed info on (if she didn't know the answer!) In the morning as well as having our own fully stocked kitchen Silvia would invite us down for fresh pastries and cappuccinos. We stayed in the Borromini room which was lovely with a little balcony that we could sit out in morning with breakfast and again in the evening with a glass of wine. A special mention for the housekeeper Camellia she is so lovely and again couldn't do enough for us. .We had a lovely stay here and would highly recommend Navona Gallery and Garden suites as a perfect place to stay in Rome.
