YES, YES, YES to Residenza Argentina. This fantastic little boutique hotel was our home away from home in Rome. Firstly, the staff were absolutely outstanding. They are helpful, friendly and willing to do almost anything to ensure your stay is comfortable. They welcomed us at night and greeted us with a smile in the morning. We stayed in the hotel both at the beginning and the end of our trip, so we had Room 4 (with a jacuzzi) for the first few nights and then Room 6 for our final night. Both were fantastic. The rooms are clean, well cared-for and very well maintained. We had clean towels every day when we returned from our sightseeing and there is plenty of soap and shampoo provided. The morning breakfast was excellent - and the cappuccinos were a great way to start our day. By paying 6 Euro for our entire stay, we have free access to a computer and the Internet which we used to communicate with home on a regular basis. There is a real sense of security also in the hotel. You have to buzz in from the street and you first enter two large courtyards. You then have to buzz once again to be let into the building itself, where you climb into the VERY small elevator for the journey up to the third floor hotel. You then have to buzz once again to get into the actual hotel. All of this sounds a little awkward - but it is not at all - easy as can be. The location of the hotel itself is absolutely perfect. It is right in Largo Argentina - a bit of a transportation hub. From there, you can catch a bus or a tram right outside the hotel door. It is within walking distance to Piazza Venezia (a hub) and also within walking distance to the large attractions: Campo dei Fiori (5 minutes), Piazza Navona (5 minutes), the Pantheon (5 minutes), the Colisseum (10 minutes), Travestere area (10 minutes). The square outside of the hotel is also a taxi waiting area so you can catch a cab to Termini if required.

Overall, I have to give this hotel a 10+++. We loved every aspect of it, will recommend it to all of our friends who are planning on a visit to Rome, and we will DEFINITELY return to this hotel. Our home away from home!

This is a lovely small hotel, very central and convenient for the sites. The room was modern, spacious and spotlessly clean. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fairly standard european fayre.

Room was superb and the staff were really friendly. Nice breakfast and service was excellent from arrival to departure. You don't get a key to the main door and I thought i would be annoyed at having to buzz to get in, but I wasn't at all. The guys are always there to let you in no matter what time you get back.

Overall, much better experience than staying at a large, soulless hotel. We used to always go for the expensive soulless option, but this changed our view - now we want the small chic boudoir! And if you want to book, just call them direct - we did and they spoke excellent english and they matched the internet prices.

Great hotel, good central location. The room was spacious with a big bathroom. Our window was against the courtyard so it wasn't too loud. The staff there was helpful for everything. The recommended a local restaurant for dinner, and the lobster linguine was the BEST pasta i've ever had. I would highly recommend this place!

This charming place was tucked away inside an inner courtyard behind garage doors facing the sacred ruins near Teatro Argentina. The three of us squeezed into t hetiny elevator and loved it everytime.

We loved the location, the price and breakfast. They made great cappicinos and served cheese, ham, fruit and great breads daily.

Everything was fresh and newly renovated. A very sleek modern Italian interior with old world charm coming into the place.

We had a loft unit that slept three. It was tiny...my husband could almost reach the both walls when he extended his arms. My son said his bed was a little short...but he was fine.
There were very steep stairs up to the loft and the bath was upstairs. If steep or steps is a problem for you, be sure you don't get this room.

Great bus connections were just out front. Lots of good eating and night life nearby at Piazza Navonna or Campo del Fiori.

If you need a lot of space...these rooms are not for you!!! But we felt like we were natives staying at this place.
