To all future tourists visiting Rome,

Please be mentally prepared for the followings if you would like to stay in Conte House Rome:
1. This is just a bed only, NO BREAKFAST
2. This is a property with 5-6 rooms in one floor of a building
3. The rooms are not clean
4. Your towels and linens are not cleaned and changed everyday, although they have a maid
5. High noise level, if your room faces road
6. Absolutely a smoking place...the caretaker, Mr. Piero smokes all the time, even when you talk to him or ask him for some info.
7. They can change your room 2-4 times a day, depending on volume of tourists, especially groups!
8. We would finally suggest you to look for a better hotel with same price.

The B&B is located close to a number of Metro stations, and is about a 10 minute walk from the Colosseum. It's in a nice area and there are a number of cafes and shops within a short distance. However, the room I stayed in was overlooking the street and was VERY noisy from all the traffic at all hours of the day and night. The room had airconditioning, though, which was good. The bathroom (the room was an ensuite) also smelled like urine, but I wasn't living in the bathroom, so it didn't bother me too much.

The breakfast was simple - a croissant and a cup of coffee.

For the amount of money I paid, I thought the place was OK. It was simple, clean (except for the smelly bathroom) and the staff were friendly. The only thing that really bothered me was the noise, and because of this, I probably would not return there again.
