This hotel is nothing like the pictures on the website. The rooms are tiny and very cheap in construction. The floors have no carpet. There is no furniture except something like an open bookshelf and very cheap portable chairs and a small plastic wood table. The TV is 12" and only a few channels all in Italian.
Like others posting here (which I wish I had checked before going) we were aghast when we saw our room and asked for a larger one. The larger one was slightly larger but equally unattractive and poorly equipped. The breakfast was like the cheapest American motel: about 1/4 pound of salami spread out on a plate and basic juice and cereal and hard boiled eggs.
Transportation options were limited. We went to the nearby ruins at 8 30 AM by shuttle but could not get back at 4 as the shuttle was not operating. We eventually got a taxi for 15 euros for the five minute ride. The taxi came with about 7 euros already on the meter for the pick up.
Worst of all was the staff attitude. As we asked for extra hangers, pillows, and safe instructions, we were met with suppressed guffaws and unpleasant attitudes. This staff are in no way interested in service.
It was hard to tell who the other clients were. I saw no other Americans there but large extended Italian families who were rather motley looking and hanging around the lobby.
The dinner was expensive and terrible!
Only advantage: near the ruins!! Which are great!!
We called a driver whom we knew from Rome and made arrangements to check into the airport Hilton the night before our flight instead of remaining here as we had no confidence they would get us to our flight on time and thought they would just chuckle if we missed it.
