First off, this hotel can be slightly confusing to find if this is your first time to Rome. It took us about an hour to find on foot. Of course the google map did not do a good job describing location. However, you can take the city metro train on the red line and get off on the Policiana stop. This will put you within a few minutes walking of the hotel.

The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood and surrounding streets seemed to be pretty dirty but I think that is commonplace outside of touristy areas in Rome. Doesn't really affect your stay if you just need a good place to sleep like we did.

As for the hotel itself, it is like many Europian hotels. The rooms are quite small by USA standards, the double bed is 2 twins pushed together, the bathroom is small, the elevator is tiny.

With that being said, this hotel served its primary purpose for my wife and I: a clean, safe place to stay that was relatively inexpensive (we paid ~$80/nt for double room) that was close to main attractions, close to central rail station, served breakfast, quiet, no frills but with a personal bathroom. It did a good job at this.

The room was average sized, the shower was exceptionally small however. If you are overweight, you would have a hard time fitting in this shower and washing your feet. There view is only of a neighboring apartment bldg. It had a TV though we never even turned on a TV while in Italy. It had an A/C which we didnt use because of the time of year. The breakfast was a little lacking by Italian standards. You got tea/coffee and 2 small toasted pieces of break and a pastry. We didn't ask for seconds b/c we weren't sure if that was kosher or not. So not an abundant breakfast, but enough to get your day going. Stay was friendly to us and provided some information about city and gave us a map. They did not have any internet usage for customers, so that is a negative.

Overall, I would stay again and recommend to anyone just wanting a simple place to stay while in Rome

*****Most important recommendation when traveling to Italy. . . change money before you get there or make sure and have a bank card. Most places beyond large restaurants, train stations, and hotels do not take credit cards and currency exchange places rape you!!! We were getting only 55EUR from changing $100USD*****

The hotel in itself is quite new and is very clean. However, the staff is very, very, rude and arrogant that they managed to ruin my holidays! A canadian couple who was also staying in the hotel was equally appalled by the rudeness of the staff. The location is also very far from the train station, even if they advertised that they are walking distance from the metro. The entrance of the hotel is like a garage, the breakfast consisted of (strictly) one croissant and coffee. MY WARNING, DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY!

This hotel was very basic - as we expected when we booked it. I would say it was equal to a 2.5 star hotel in US standards. Everything was about as simple as it comes in the room. We stayed for 2 nights and both mornings we never had hot water for showering. When we asked the front desk they didn't know why there was a problem - so that was frustrating!

This hotel was PERFECT for my boyfriend and I on our first visit to Rome. We arrived very late but the staff at reception were pleasant and friendly, and made us feel very welcome! Not only this but they provided us with some pastries that were meant for the morning breakfast as we had not eaten and most of the restaurants had already closed.
We felt very safe in this hotel as the front door had a lock, the doors on every floor had locks and the rooms had locks. The corridors also had CCTV cameras. Our room was SPOTLESS when we arrived and cleaners came in every day. You could not fault the cleanliness of this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the aircon was sufficient.
Breakfast in the morning was superb: fruit juice, tea, coffee, toast and a selection of pastries were served every morning - they were delicious! The breakfast room was quite small but it was never really busy. There was also a bar at reception that served a selection of very reasonably priced drinks.
The location was ideal for us as it was less than a five minute walk to the subway station (Policlinico). The subway is a great way to get about, so the hotel's location is ideal for tourists.
All in all, this was a fantastic hotel for the price we paid. If we return to Rome, we will definately return to this hotel and we would also recommend it to any of our friends!
