I booked a single for five nights in September and was surprised with one of Romano's best rooms...a large double with a private terrace overlooking the forum. Can't ask for anything better than that. The bathroom was also large, although the shower was quite small. The whole place was spotless...so clean in fact, that the maid came through everyday and put my stuff away so that sometimes I didn't know where it was...in drawers, cabinets or a shelf.
The staff was very kind and helpful and is there all night long...my friend and I stayed up til 2 am talking about the joys of Rome with one of them. For breakfast you are given a coupon for the cafe downstairs. You get juice, packaged toast, a coffee drink and a baked good, some days a croissant, some days a donut. Certainly enough to get you going for a little while.
The location is quite nice as well...across the street from the forum, a long block from the colosseum, 15 minutes from the central train station. For other sights, restaurants and night life its a 10 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain or 15 minutes to Campo dei Fiori or Piazza Navona. Even the vatican only took 25 minutes to walk to.
Clean, safe, friendly and pretty well priced. Have a great time in Rome, stay here!

This is a small hotel, but with a great location. It's very near Forum Romanum and the Colosseum. Nice and friendly staff. I had a double room for single use, and that was very all right. But be aware that the breakfast (which is served next door), is not like we are used to in Northern Europe. No meat, eggs or anyhing like that. But that doesn't matter; I will come back anytime!
