We checked in at around midnight on our arrival and the nice desk person greeted us by name as if waiting up for us. It's a friendly, small hotel that is close to the spanish steps, the Trevi fountain and the metro. We found great restaurants nearby and loved the overall neighborhood. Our room was clean and very quiet and we were overall pleased with out stay.

The room was small as are many of the hotels in Rome, the mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I woke up constantly and could not get comfortable. The pillow was very firm and too hard...it gave me a stiff neck every night.

The bathroom was fine, but the shower was so small, you could not bend over if you dropped the soap! Also, the shampoo provided is the type that comes in a foil package like ketchup...you have to rip it open and it is next to impossible with wet hands. There was a built in hair dryer that worked fine and that is always nice for me.

Hello fellow travelers!

My husband and I just returned from a 5 day stay in Rome, and we loved it! Who wouldn't, with the food, the wine, the gelatto, and the people?! We spent 5 nights at the Delle Regioni, and while there were a few things that may not have been considered "top notch", the experience overall was tough to beat. Without a doubt, I would recommend this place to others and would stay here again.

We had reservations to stay at Best Bed and Breakfast/Pantheon, but in the end it did not open in time. So I quickly had to scramble to find another hotel with a month's notice. I was skeptical because though Hotel Delle Regioni (HDR) got good reviews, there were not many reviews.

After staying at HDR, I agreed with the good reviews, but I did have two main complaints. First, the room had A/C and though it was cool, it was by no means cold. At the end of a long hot sticky day, I wanted a cold hotel room. Also, the room was a litte warm on some nights. However, overall the room was definately cool and we were comfortable for the most part. The other complaint is, of course, the price. Now, for Rome hotels, the price we paid of 195 Euros/night was tremendously reasonable, and actually a lot less than other 3 star hotels that recieved worse reviews. However, you CANNOT allow yourself to compare the room at 195 Euros to what a room would look like for the same price ($240) in the U.S. You could stay at a great fancy hotel on Central Park South (NYC) or on the beach in Santa Monica (L.A.) for that cost at the right time of year. This room was the equivalent of a room you would find at a Best Western Hotel--not fancy, no frills, but extremely comfortable and had everything you needed. So as long as you don't think about the price, you'll find the room to be just perfect. And when you do think about the price, remember that you are in Rome. We looked at significantly more expensive hotels in Rome, and I don't think that the rooms were nearly as nice as the HDR.

The great part about HDR are the staff--I watched as one staff member reorganized and re-booked the hotels and travel for a couple's entire 3-week itinerary in Italy after that couple decided they wanted to spend another night in Rome. All that service for no price. My husband and I had our camera stolen in a park, and they were so helpful as we tried to find a new camera. Each morning, I left my shoes and some papers in a mess on the floor, and every night I returned to the room to find everythign orderly and lined up. On our last morning, we had to leave before breakfast began, and they set it all up early for us. Breakfast was just what we needed--yogurt, amazing croissants, juices, and unbelievable cappucino.

So, the rooms are very comfortable, and as we had specifically requested a quiet room, ours was very quiet indeed. There was tons and tons of closet/storage space to unpack, and the room and bathroom were both decently sized by European standards. The breakfast, the staff, and the other people staying at the hotel were all tremendous. And the location is terrific--walking distance to absolutely everything. We never needed mass transit. So, besides the good (just not great) A/C, and the ridiculous prices of Rome hotels overall, this place was simply perfect. Everything my husband and I could have needed and wanted. In the end, perfecto!

This Hotel delivered a completely stress free stay from our arrival to our departure. The staff were all that you would expect in a quality hotel helpful, courteous, and friendly.
The room was both comfortable and very clean and afforded a high calibre of good quality equipment.
The hotel is well placed for all the major tourist sights and is surrounded by excellent eating facilities and restaurants.

This small hotel is a real find ideally located near all the main tourist sights in the centre of Rome. Don't be put off by it's side street location as it rates as one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The main reason for this is the excellent attitude of it's staff who are always happy to go that extra step to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It's small size is actually one of it's attractions, bringing with it a real quaintness summed up by the tiny breakfast area where they make probably the best cappuccino in the world. I'LL BE BACK

Rome was our last destination and we planned to be happy if we managed an average room. However, the Delle Regioni was quite above average. Room is big, bathroom is brand new and the staff was very nice. It is 2 blocks from the Metro line and in walking distance to everything. Good place for the money.....
