I took my girlfriend to Rome for her Birthday and we stayed in this Hotel which is situated about 400m from the Trevi Fountain.

I would recommend it to any one looking for a central location as we walked everywhere.

The staff were all very helpful and made our stay very enjoyable.

Breakfast was fairly basic but it did the job. If i ever come back to Rome I will definitely stay here again.

A couple of words of warning, watch out for the pickpockets on the Spanish Steps and around the Coliseum.

I stayed here with two friends at the end of April and we were pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Delle Regioni. The hotel was spotless, the rooms were small, but nicely furnished. The bathroom was small, but had a tiled shower with super strong water pressure and lots of hot water.
It was about a five minute walk to the Trevi Fountain - we ended up just waking everywhere - great location. Obviously, being on a busy street there is the potential for traffic noise, but our room had double glazing and air conditioning and I slept really well - wasn't woken up by street noise at all. Breakfast was ok - nothing fancy. Great cappucino, and lovely croissants but that's about it. Best of all was the staff, who were friendly and helpful, greeted us by name, and organised transportation back to Ciampino for us. It was 10 Euro more than the standard rate, but we got to ride in comfort in a black mercedes, which was much more enjoyable than the regular taxi we used on our arrival.

The staff was helpful with a terrific restaurant recommentation. But, the hotel hadn't paid its gas bill and we didn't have any air conditioning, had to open the window, on the first floor and listen to the extremely loud street sounds. Not exactly restful to weary travelers. They didn't offer to lower the bill so we moved out of the hotel early.

We checked in at around midnight on our arrival and the nice desk person greeted us by name as if waiting up for us. It's a friendly, small hotel that is close to the spanish steps, the Trevi fountain and the metro. We found great restaurants nearby and loved the overall neighborhood. Our room was clean and very quiet and we were overall pleased with out stay.

The room was small as are many of the hotels in Rome, the mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I woke up constantly and could not get comfortable. The pillow was very firm and too hard...it gave me a stiff neck every night.

The bathroom was fine, but the shower was so small, you could not bend over if you dropped the soap! Also, the shampoo provided is the type that comes in a foil package like ketchup...you have to rip it open and it is next to impossible with wet hands. There was a built in hair dryer that worked fine and that is always nice for me.
