We spent 4 night at the hotel Silvestri in July 2006. There was aheatwave in Europe at the time and it was great to have a lovely cool room to return to at the end of each days sightseeing. There is a bus station in the Silvestri Piazza and each morning we we go to the bus office and ask the drivers which bus we needed to get to our destination. It is very close to the Trevi fountain and has some good reasonably priced restaurants nearby. The rooms are quite small but when you only want to sleep it was ideal for us. The furnishings were lovely and the staff gave excellent service. We will be returning to Rome in March 2007 and will definately stay at the Silvestri again. Sue F
