We booked this 1 night ,( thank GOD) stay at the airport hotel reservation desk.We paid 103 euros for this 2 star hotel. when we arrived we had to climb up from the first floor to the 3rd. Thankfully ,they brought our luggage up. When we followed them up, we faced a door which we apparently had to enter and then saw a hallway.Ours was the room directly in front, from which all night we would hear anyone coming up to go to their rooms.Thankfully , there were not too many guests, but the few were noisy enogh. Not that it mattered that much since we hardly slept at all.The room was the tiniest I have ever seen .Two twin beds(awfull mattresses),One night table with a so called lamp, only light in the room.Tv, all Italian channels, no hot water, room was cold, when we asked if we could raise the heat,he put the fan up higher, but it was still cold. We had to cover ourselves with towels since we didn't need them since there was no hot water that night.
If we had known, sleeping at the airport would have been the best choice. This is enough to make us not want to go to Italy again. We thought bookings at the airport would be reliable, but this agency should not have this hotel on its list.
We have stayed at many hotels ,some fabulous, some OK, but this is absolutely the WORST!

Dissappionting few days at this hotel. The room was small and the air conditioning was inefficent and noisey. The website advised us the hotel offered a shuttle service from the airport and also to and from the local metro station for 5 euros. However each time we asked to access this service we were advised by the manager to get a taxi. The journey from the hotel to Rome centre took 2 buses and a metro each way. Difficult checkout as the manager was unavailable and the bill was unprepared, despite our request to pay the bill the evening before. Excellant meal in the restraunt one evening.

We enjoyed Rome and plan to return again in the near future but not to this hotel.

  • Liked — The restraunt
  • Disliked — Distance from Rome centre, buses to hotel area are infrequent
  • Tips/Secrets: — If you dare hire a car and drive in Italy.

We booked this hotel from the reservation booth at the Rome Airport. We were told is was similar to the Hilton Airport but a little cheaper. It was the most overpriced hotel in which I have ever stayed. The room had one 60 watt lightbulb for the entire room. The walls and ceiling were paper thin and the resultant reverberation from the door slamming at all hours of the day and night made for a very poor nights sleep. The restaurant was scary! It was convenient to the airport but in spite of the fact that we told them when we checked in that we had a rental car and would not be needing the shuttle bus, that did not stop them from calling us at 6:00 to ask us what time we needed to leave on the shuttle for the airport. So, after 11 wonderful days in Italy, our last impression was of this horrible hotel. Do your self a favor and steer clear-there are better options out htere!

Admitedly we booked this hotel in some haste after reading great reviews for hotel of same name nearer the attractions so please check location carefully!!

However once aware of our error wasn't to concerned after seeing distance stated as 15 mins and good transport links. On arrival all seemed well, welcoming freindly staff and this was the case throughout, however when we attempted the journey to Rome's centre our mistake began to dawn on us, half an hour bus journey to a stop in the middle of nowwhere (certainly nowhere you'd feel happy hanging about for to long) followed by various waiting times from 5 - 35 mins for connecting bus, then another 10-20 mins pending traffic until in Rome's centre.

The alternative was a bus to a metro station which seemed a bit bettter as metros very frequent (door to centre approx 45 mins) however there was engineering works and so metro heavily disrupted and scuppered this plan on a couple of journeys. The best option would be taxi's however obviously not very cost effective, this is where it got really interesting, 'a full blown armed police presence' taxi strike was in progress for the duration of our 4 day trip (not the hotels fault but i'm pretty sure it wasnt a spur of the moment strike that couldn't have been made known to guests prior to arrival!)

One evening after tube disruption's & lack of buses compared to passengers, stranded we had to take an illegal cab for a hefty fee, whilst i appreciate the taxi strike was bad luck this hotels 'Rome' location was appalling. Fortunately the restaurant provided nice simplistic meals as this was where we had to spend most evenings.
Hotels shuttle bus is mainly for decor on drive it would appear and no chance of help during these desperate transport failings.
Nice hotel if you plan to hire transport avoid if not.

The owner's of the hotel were very nice and helpful, but this hotel is quite a bit outside of Rome and only on a few bus lines...it didn't appear that taxi service was readily available.
There also did not seem to be any restaurants nearby (at least within close walking distance) but we arrived when it was dark and since it was raining, we had a choice of trying to walk somewhere in the pouring rain or be a bit hungry...we opted for hungry.
Luckily, we were staying there for one night before heading to the airport so the minor inconveniences were not big issues. I am not sure how pleased we would have been if we were planning on staying there longer.
If you book here and decide to take a bus as described on the website, be prepared since it is a long bus ride and if you miss the stop for the hotel, the next stop is at the bottom of a hill and a bit of a walk (crossing a busy street) back to the hotel especially if you have luggage.
As I stated, the owner's are very welcoming, but that might not be enough to overcome some of the problems with staying at such a remote location if you think you are closer to Rome than you actually are.
