I forgot to write a review of this place back in November, but I wanted to take a minute to do it now. It really is a nice hotel, I agree with much of what the other reviewers have said. Large, clean, quiet room, with nice breakfast. If you want bacon and eggs, you'll be disappointed, but we liked what we got. Coffee made to order, fresh pastries, yogurt, etc. The staff was very polite and friendly. Really the only reason you might not stay here is if you want a hotel in another part of the city, but if you want to be close to the train station on a quiet street, then this place will be perfect.

My wife and I spent five days in Rome from June 26 to 30. We stayed 4 nights at the Domus Praetoria. Walking distance from the Termini Train Station (four small blocks). The Service provided for Massimo at the Front Desk was great; he gave us really good tips (Restaurants, Tours, etc.). The rooms are clean and spacious.
Tip to get the city: At the Fiumicino Airport, take the Leonardo Express (30 minutes, $11 Euros).

Positives (in this order)
- Very friendly reception staff - very helpful, can plan your itinerary, give their computer to you for internet access
- Location - just 2 blocks away from termini.
- Rooms - Big & high ceilings.

Negatives
- Breakfast - Nothing great - very simple.

We stayed at the hotel for a total of three nights, and found it to be a wonderful experience. The hotel staff was extremely helpful getting us checked in. We arrived before the normal check-in time, but were able to go up to our room immediately. The staff spoke English well, and were able to help us with directions to the subway. The hotel is only about three blocks from the Tremini rail station, which was a very convenient. We used the subway throughout our stay to move around the city. The hotel room itself was nice sized - not huge but certainly big enough. It was clean and quiet. The continental breakfast was also a nice extra. The room was not cheap by U.S. standards, but after doing a lot of online searches for hotels, we were happy with our choice to stay there. We have recommended the hotel to family members already.
