I stayed at Blu Hotel Roma for three nights at the end of May, 2005. It was very clean and comfortable, and we booked it through our travel agent, so we saved a lot of money and got a good deal. I staye dthere with my father and brother. The staff was very friendly and attempted to help us find our destinations on our maps.

This hotel is more convenient for business people. we just wanted to visit the city rome. only if you have a car, and if you didn't find another hotel in the city center it is ok to stay here, otherwise it takes you 45 min to get to the city center. Before travelling we were afraid of not finding any parking place in the city center. But now we now, that it is very easy to find a parking place everywhere, because in rome everybody parks everywhere :))

My husband stayed here on a business trip in September, after I booked it for him based on previous reviews both here and on venere (where I did the booking online). He was very impressed with the hotel. It is new and clean, and the rate (EUR99/night) was very reasonable. It is close to Tiburtina station, which has a shuttle directly to the airport. As others have commented, it is difficult to find on foot; be sure to print out a detailed street map (not just the ones on the booking site).

Stayed in June 2005. This Hotel is an excellent value. Very clean, air-conditioned, decent breakfast, nice staff. However, it is not as easy to find or get to as descried in the other reviews. For most people, the walk to the hotel would be considered long. A good half mile or about 1 KM. There are two buses from the north train station to the hotel. You get tickets at the bus station in the back of the train station. Coming from the hotel to the train station, you have to buy them in the bar across the street located Kati-Korner from the hotel. Crossing to the hotel can be difficult from the bar depending on the hour due to traffic.

Area appeared safe and I walked it with my daughter inthe day and later at night. But it is kind of quiet late so i would recommend a cab after 11 PM unless you are a group. There is a Pizza palce down the street from the hotel on the way to the station that is quite popular. The Bar also serves food across the street from the hotel and is also popular.

Rome subway/u-bahn stops running real early like 9PM
There is a bus to the train station until almost midnight from downtown and then you take another bus to the hotel. Train ride is 20 minutes. Bus ride a half hour from downtown.

Finding hotel from station. There are no signs or info in station. Go out the side where the buses are and walk up the hill on the left past some industrial buildings. Make a left on the overpass. Walk to light and make a right crossing the street to the newspaper stand. There is a sign for the hotel on the corner if you look for it. You walk straight down an industrial street and hotel is a ways down on the right. You pass the bus repair depot and a gas station.

Very modern hotel. Everything is new. They have secure parking as well. If you are driving, this is the place. Easy access from highway and I think parking is free,. I paid about 103 euros a night and it was well worth it and cheaper than any other hotel I found. Every bit as nice as a Radisson and a better value. Windows open and it is quiet. Place is spotless. Hotel is non-smoking everywhere. Security excellent.
