Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, living up to every expectation.
Extremely well organised hotel with friendly staff. Speedy check in to a cool air conditioned room. Though the room felt a little small we put this down to the 'king-sized' double. Both bedroom and bathroom were decorated to high standard and clean. The bed was turned down each evening and the air con on for our return from a fantastic sightseeing trips in 34 degree heat.
Receptioist offered us immediate answers and advise on location of attractions.
Bar was understandably pricey however the entertainment and humour afforded by the cocktail waiter was worth the expense, great service (hidden humour).
Would strongly recommend this stay which is 15 minutes walk / 5 minutes taxi from central Termini Station. Close enough to all attractions and worth the walk to those further away, approx 10 minutes from Metro.
Breakfast selection sufficiently filling to justify skipping lunch (I told my wife!). The Champagne at breakfast was a real coup.
August is a quiet time in Rome, the locals go away from the city on holiday - great really to visit at this time as the service seems more personal.
Local restaurants offer tasty menu's with no disappointments. Suggest you try out 'Babbo's' Pizzeria Steak & Fish Restaurant where the service was swift, food was tasty and "Sorbetto al limone" a lemon gin sorbet aftershock drink was amazing (see hint).
Taxi's are cheap if the Rome hills are a little exhausting.

4 adults stayed for 4 nights and it was lovely. From the moment we arrived tired and hungry from our journey when the reception staff were first class and even gave us a big map and pointed out several interesting places and how to get to them from the hotel till check out at noon that was great and you use the luggage room if you wante to. The courtyard was cool and would be lovely in the burning heat of summer and had a calm feeling with a lovely water feature. The Blue Bar has lovely staff who remembered what you liked and always brought sweet and savoury bites without asking to nibble at. It was a very good place to sit after hours walking around the sights of Rome and after returning from one of the good eating establishments around the block. The place with the yellow sign was a fab place to eat and you had to book but it was worth it. Also the breakfast was lovely with good service and plenty of choice from egg and bacon to toast and rolls and jam and cheese and cold meats. Also pastries and croissants and cerel and juices etc. They brought tea and coffee to your table and always were smiling and organised and friendly without bothering you. The rooms were on the small side but plenty big enough and kept clean. I woutd implore you stay HERE when you are next in Rome and would do myself ........................

  • Liked — clean rooms and friendly staff and wonderful breakfasts

Rome as a city is the perfect romantic get-a-way. The hotel was clean, well presented and a reasonable price. The room was a good size and comfortable and the service was amazingly friendly, informative and better than 90% of hotels I have stayed in previously. Breakfast was excellent also.

It is only a 10 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and there are some lovely restaurants and bars nearby.

The Blue Bar at the hotel served beautiful wine, and the staff couldn't stop talking about Italian football in there!!

The hotel really is a great location for a weekend away in Rome and provides everything you need, and possibly more than you would get for your money smack in the centre of Rome.

I could not fault this hotel . I t exceeded my expectations. It is not cheap but, if your staying here then you re not looking for a "budget hotel"
I found it good value.
The room although not huge( but this is a Rome city hotel) was beautiful, and like most looked over the inner courtyard.
There is an excellent breakfast, and a bar to come back to at night.
The position is good with a 10 min walk to the sights and bus stops, but far enough away from the terminus station , ( which I guess is the worst end of the city.)
There are also a few good restaurants very close.
We tried two of them and they were superb
The staff on our visit could not do enough for you.
In my opinion if you want something a bit special , this fits the bill.
It certainly made our stay in Rome a very good one . I would definitely re book if I return to rome

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, and we were having a conference in this hotel as well. Location is fine, but it is somewhat on the side of the downtown. If you are planning a vacation, I would suggest staying somewhere closer to Piazza Navona or Trevi fountain.

Regarding accommodation, I think I had a standard room, which was very nicely furnished, but was very small. There was no designated place for the suitecase, so I had to sqeeze mine on the floor between the bed and the wall. Of course, it was not possible to walk there anymore, so to open the curtaines I had to crawl over the bed. The bathroom was also very small with a shower cabin. I am not very tall, so it was fine for me, but my husband could hardly fit in it.

The staff in this hotel is another issue. There can be a bell-boy, in a while you will meet him as a technitian, and some time later he is a waitor. So, this was quite strange. I think overall, by Italian merits, the staff was ok.

Breakfast was also fine, nothing special. Scrammbled eggs & sausages were the only hot meal.

This was my first trip to Rome, and after work I took a 5-day vacation, and my husband and I rented a cozy apartment around the corner from the Pantheon 3 times cheaper than a standard room in this hotel.
