We just returned from a 10 day trip to Italy. While in Rome, we stayed at the Nicholas Inn. It was a perfect choice for us. The location couldn't be better....Right around the corner from The Colosseum and The Roman Forum.
Melissa and Francois were the perfect hosts.....friendly, personable and charming.....and very knowledgeable about Rome with many great recommendations about restaurants, sites to see and routes to get where you wanted to go.
Our room was terrific (there are only four rooms in the B&B) and we had our own keys to come and go as we wanted. They gave us vouchers for breakfast at the cafe next door where we could have anything we wanted.....While they were not on-site all the time, we were told that they could be reached 24/7 if we needed anything.
They even arranged for early morning airport transportation and met us in the lobby at 5am to help with bags and say "goodbye."
We will definitely stay here again when we return to Rome!

We arrived much earlier than anticipated but Melissa was very accomodating. We left all bags in one room and they moved them to the other two rooms before we returned. The tips on food, tickets and what to see and do were great. Francoisse even met us at 4:15 am two days to make sure the transport to the airport presented no problem. The location is perfect - very easy to find, easy to see the sights and the hosts could not have been more helpful. Hope to return in the not so distant future! Grazie for everything!

Melissa and Francois were very helpful concerning buses, restaurants. The inn is extremely clean, bathroom was nice, location very near the Coliseum and Forum, and the breakfast at the nearby bakery was very nice. You can get a sandwich there instead of a pastry. Coffee, juice, and sandwich or pastry. Internet business is a block away. ATMs within the block, as well as post. I would definitely stay with them again.

A wonderful B&B. Melissa and Francois are warm and friendly hosts which is not always easy to find these days. Their local advise was invaluable. Francois put me on to the best espresso that I have ever had (and I like my coffee) and it cost less than one euro! The room was spacious for Europe and it was quiet even though you are only 5 minutes walk to the Colosseum and Forum. Stay here - you wont be disappointed. Oh, and BTW - the great value will put a smile on your face.
