We stayed with Melissa and Francois in early October for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Both were warm and friendly and provided wonderful advice especially on where to eat. The cafe they use for breakfast was right down the block and a fascinating place to have a morning latte. The location was superb and the accomodations spotless. If you are looking for a place to stay in Rome, this is it!

From the time that Melissa met us at the door, we were pleased. So friendly, gracious, and a breath of fresh air after traveling on the train. We felt we could just relax.

We were spending two nights in Rome, and we wanted a place that was close to the action, but still provided a quiet retreat at the end of the day. This was the perfect place. We were very close to Palatine Hill and the Colosseum, and everything else wasn't much further away. We did everything by walking.

The room itself was very clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. It was also nice to have a place to go to in the morning for an espresso and a breakfast sandwich, which was part of the room rate.

They also provided us with great restaurant tips. One of our most favourite restaurants in Italy was the one they sent us to just behind their location.

If ever returning to Rome, we would definitely be coming back to Nicolas Inn.

Nicolas Inn was a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful, sparkling clean, and convenient to everything. Melissa and Francois are wonderful hosts and full of advice and recommendations. I felt like I was visiting old friends in Rome. A great place to stay in Rome.

They only have 4 rooms so it is not easy to get in . Melissa is from the states and has married Francois . They both speak English and understand Americans . The reason it is better than family is at night they go across the street to their apartment. In the day they do a wonderful job of keeping the place clean and are very helpful with all the normal tourist requests. Breakfast is a kick. They send you to a bakery up the street and the food is fine but people watching the locals is a great way to start the day,
