“Very small rooms, but otherwise good hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

-This hotel is two blocks from the Termini train station. It a very convenient location for trains and buses, and taxi's.

-Is the area safe?? I don't know. There are lots of people from other cultures around that looked like they could be potentially troublesome, but we were never threatened or offered drugs or hit on. There were always at least two of us together out on the street around there.
Despite this aspect of it's location, I prefer this rather than the area around the Pantheon and Spanish Steps where there are hordes of tourists all over and no sense of 'space'.

-Probably inexpensive. Go-Travel put us here as part of a package so we don't know the price.

-Rooms are very small.
-Twin beds are right up next to the wall and there was hardly more than a foot between them.
-Twin beds were comfortable but the mattresses slopped down where people had been sitting on them. I shoved some padding under mine to make it level. Might try flipping the mattress.
-The bathroom had new fixtures and nice tile on the walls and floor.
-The bathroom shower was 30 inches square. I'm thin, and when I dropped the soap it was an adventure trying to pick it up in that cramped space.
-If you can't control the heat or a.c., check with the front desk. Some rooms haven't been converted to digital controls and you have to throw the circuit breaker which was behind the door in our room.
-There was a safe in the room, and a hair dryer in the bathroom.

-The men who work at the front desk are very friendly, accommodating, helpful, and have good restaurant suggestions.

-The breakfast is included and has the usual standard selection of cold items.
-The breakfast room is on the (U.S.) second floor. It's attractive, but tables are limited so don't linger too long.
-The girl working in the breakfast room will make cappuccino for you (free) and we preferred it to the coffee from the machine at the food buffet.

-There is a very good restaurant in the same block, a couple doors to the left as you leave the hotel. Elettra Restaurante, Via Principe Amedeo 72a/74. Tel 06.4743675 or e-mail: elettradal1922@yahoo.it Nice ambiance. Professional waiters. Three of us each ordered something and split it all family style. We paid a total of 40 euro (about 13 euro each) for 1/2 bottle of house wine, bread, salad, spinach, pasta tagliatelle, and pasta with salmon. We consistently found eating things family style (sharing) was the way to avoid high costs of eating in restaurants in Italy. And we had didn't eat as much that way.

-About two blocks from the hotel are two special churches: the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, and Santa Prassede with it's beautiful Bysantine mosiacs.
-Also close to the hotel is the National Roman Museum (Palazzo Massimo alle Terme) which is one of the top two or three museums in Rome. It's located two blocks in front of the entrance to the Termini. Entry for he Baths of Diocletian is included in the same ticket as the museum.
-Also right there is the Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli which was converted by Michelangelo from two big rooms of the Baths of Diocletian.
-Other than those places there isn't much for tourists in the Termini area - the hotel's location.

-Always take ear plugs when you travel. They can be very useful if you are in a hotel room where it is noisy at night, or sitting in front of a baby on an airplane.

Hotel very close to Rome Railway Station (5m walking). I had a single room: it was small but confortable. The bathroom was large. Excellent breakfast. The staff was very friendly. Nothing to complain about. Competive rates.

Marco at the front desk was knowledgeable, efficient and had a great sense of humour! He gave us great advice on bus routes, restaurants etc and booked our cab to the airport. The hotel is well situated a just few blocks from the Termini and the Avis Car rental drop off which was great for us. The breakfast was more than adequate. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are comfortable. We stayed for 5 nights and feel that we received excellent value!

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel with a friend of mine. The location is perfect, approx. 2 min. from Termini metro station. The neighborhood was quite safe and a lot of restaurants are around...which are open even until late evening. The hotel is clean, the rooms have minibar and simply everything you need. The breakfast in comparison to other hotels in Rome is really good, you can find not only sweets but also other continental food. But the best was: the staff of the hotel. I never met in hotels so kind people like they were. They explained us everything and were very nice with us. It was just great! I was in several hotels in Rome but I can say this was the best!!

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights (feb 2013). We actually came in earlier than the checkin time and they were able to accommodate us immediately. I find the hotel quite charming. They have an open elevator which is quite nice. The room is modern, comfortable and clean. They have free internet (ask the receptionist for the account) which is important for me. Their bathroom is clean and modern. Breakfast has variety of fruits, pastries, cold meat, juice, coffe/tea. Staff are charming and one is quite the joker. Location is excellent with walking distance to all forms of transport - about 5 min walk to Termini Station. There were just some noise outside on our second night though I guess it has a lot to do with us opening our window for the night. It was not really an issue for us. Overall, good value for money and would get stay again if I get back to Rome.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

So I booked this hotel, not expecting much since it was so cheap, however I was nicely surprised when we got to our room. It was modern, comfortable and clean. So perfect for a weekend getaway where you don't spend all your time in the room. The mini bar prices were reasonable and there was free wifi in the room!. The breakfast had a bit of variety and was better than I expected given the price of the stay (£170 for 3 nights).
The location was excellent, just a few minutes from Termini station. The only thing I can fault was that the night we arrived it was pouring with rain, and there isnt a big neon sign out the front with the hotel name, so we initially walked past the entrance, but its easy to find if you are looking with the street numbers!
f would absolutely stay here again if I came back to Rome!
