preface:
were looking for hotel from which to explore the countryside S and SW of rome by car, with easy access to highways system, and access to rome itself - by underground.
stayed in the hotel anagnina (---) for 3 nights (march 20 to 23) in easterholidays 2005, booked via (---) system, paid 80/night for double, tax, beakfast included.
access to hotel by car not easy to find, ask hotel to send you instructions before you orbit the hotel without being able to access ;-)
hotel located adjacent to small shopping center (incl. 1 supermarket and a small fast-food pizza-place).
a pretty new **** hotel. despite highways nearby not too loud, sufficient parking available for free.
breakfast only, no lunch or dinner available. so before you get there make sure you have eaten (or go to the shopping center).
rooms spacious, clean, access to internet via cable to your laptop. charge 3 euros/hour or i guess not even 10 per day.
staff at reception very friendly, speak languages besides italian, receptionist upon checkin didn't seem to be able to work under too much pressure.
the room we were supposed to stay in had a very loud ventialtion system, that made the air in the room vibrate. despite the tricks the receptionist gave the vibrations didn't stop. got us another quiet room even before unpacking - was quiet, no loud ventilation system.
breakfast as usual, with service personnel having hardly any basic knowledge of any language besides italian, the guy at the bar seemed to be very rude und unfriendly, already upset short after starting to work?
ANAGNINA underground station nearby, 1 station by bus just opposite hotel, so rome may be accessed easily (1 ticket is 1 euro, takes you all the way to the center of rome)
all in all a good place to stay for those arriving by car and not wanting to enter heavy traffic in rome.
with easy access to highway system surrounding areas can be explored easily.
